“Fine,” I sighed. “I’m pruning anyway.”

Standing, I didn’t bother with a towel, walking past them and dripping on the floor. I passed within an inch of Silver’s body, and he stiffened. If they were going to make my life difficult, I would do the same fucking thing.

A long, fluffy robe hung in the closet. I wrapped it around myself, letting it absorb the water before I scooped up Puff, once again in the closet, batting at the fringe on a piece of lingerie so scandalous I wasn’t sure I’d even be able to wear it on stage.

That is, if I ever got to dance again.

My heart fell at the thought.

They were all in my living room, and cleaner than when I’d left them. My fae senses picked up each of their scents, freshly washed.

I’d never been in a room with all of them alone like this. I lifted Puff to my shoulder, but she didn’t want that. This wasexplorationtime. She launched herself off my shoulder, tumbling through the air and trying to fly, which didn’t work.

Grave caught her out of the air and set her on the carpet before I could panic. “Thank you.”

He said nothing. Then again, he rarely did.

Silver sat in one of my chairs, elbows on his knees, staring at me. They all stared at me from their various positions in the room. I placed a hand on my stomach to calm the butterflies.

It was hard to tell the body that had wanted them for so long that we were angry, and whatever kind of pleasure and sex she was eager forwasn’t going to fucking happen.

I sat on one end of the couch and crossed my legs, fully aware that the position gave them a great view of my ass. It was a great ass, and they were free to admire it while trying kiss it and make up.

The room was painfully silent. “Well?” I asked. “You said you needed to talk. Now would be the time to do that.”

“Before that, is there anything we can do to make you more comfortable?” Silver asked.

“Go back in time and take it back.”

His eyes burned into mine. “I can’t do that, baby girl. And even if I could, I wouldn’t.”

I huffed out a breath and crossed my arms over my chest. “Fine. I want all the things from my apartment. My clothes. My e-reader. My pictures. Everything. Cream Puff needs a litter box, food, water bowl, and a scratching post. And we left the Crimson Petal so fast I left my phone. I’d like to call Maggie and tell her I’m not dead.”

Silver looked over at Comet and nodded. “We’ll get it done.”

One by one, I looked at each of them. “How could you do this? My life is over now. I can’t go outside your fucking compound without fear of being taken by the Legion or murdered by another fae Court. So, thank you for that.”

“We aren’t the ones who outed you,” Wraith said.

Pain pulsed in my chest. “Yeah.” I never thought Kramer would do that to me, but it was a lesson learned. You couldn’t trust people. Even people who said they had your back.

“We have Kramer,” Comet said. “And haven’t decided what to do with him yet. If you want to talk to him, you can.”

“Can I punch him in the dick?”

A rumble of a laugh came from Silver. “You can do whatever you like to him.”

“Good.”

He sighed. “We have some questions.”

I stared at them and waited. I wasn’t particularly inclined to be a well of information at the moment.

“Your parents?”

“I never knew them. But my mother was the fae half. I was kept by a woman who takes care of children like me. And it was fine, since nothing had manifested. And then it did, later than we expected. So I moved to No Man’s Land. Ta-da.”

“What happened to your parents?”
