Or maybe I was just extra irritated.

“Well, the whole accounting department is probably down there working their asses off, so that’s something,” Luis said, examining the expensive gold watch on his writs.

Luis and I had been coworkers and friends since I started my company after college. I wouldn’t say I needed anyone in my life outside of my family, but I needed Luis. I trusted him, and my trust was hard earned. He’d never steered me wrong, both in my personal life and my professional life.

“Well, if money is missing, I need to know. It looks like it was just a simple accounting error, but if they can’t catch it when I did only looking at the accounts for ten minutes, then I’m firing the whole department.”

“Kyle,” Luis said with a laugh. “What the fuck is up, man? You’re raging like no other right now.”

I blew out a breath, trying to calm myself, and took my seat behind my desk. Luis turned back around in his chair to face me, looking down at his phone.

“Am I boring you?” I asked.

“Hey, don’t take your frustrations out on me,” he said. But, he slid his phone in his pocket. “You’re in the worst mood I’ve seen you in since you broke your leg and couldn’t…Oh shit.” Luis laughed. “That’s it, isn’t it? You haven’t been laid in too long, and now you’re grumpy.”

“That’s not it,” I said.

It pissed me off that Luis knew me so well. I didn’t want to be so obvious in my needs, and I guessed he was the only one who would be able to track my patterns like that, but still, I didn’t like it. I also didn’t like that he was right.

Kind of.

The combination of not having sex in over a month and being jealous over some lower-level employee was more than I could handle. I didn’t want Emma, or any woman, to have that kind of power over me. But, I already knew Emma did. And that pissed me off even more.

“You know you’re a billionaire, right? And, form what the ladies say, you’re not terrible looking either. You should have no problems in the dating world.”

“I said that’s not it,” I snapped, only further proving his point.

Luis’s dark eyes looked at me very, very pointedly.

I sighed. “I’m just having a rough day.”

“Listen, your new assistant, Emily, is super fine. I’m sure you can work something out there.” He raised his black eyebrows at me.

“Emma,” I corrected. “My assistant’s name is Emma and she’s too valuable to just fuck and forget.” Not to mention that I’d been trying to forget fucking her since it happened. I’d had no luck there.

“Fair enough,” he says, standing up. “When was the last time you called Cami?”

I scratched at my jaw as Luis left my office. Before the door fully closed, I noticed him stopping at Emma’s desk. My blood pounded in my ears. I wasn’t going to survive this. I couldn’t handle seeing men hit on her right in front of my face.

Firing her wasn’t an option either. Not only was Emma exceptional at her job, I knew how much it meant to her to support herself.

I couldn’t see a way out of this.

I jumped to my feet again, pacing my office seemed like the only thing I could do to keep from yelling at more employees.

I glanced at the clock. Emma would be leaving in less than an hour and I wasn’t sure what I was going to when she did.

Call Cami. Fuck someone and be done with it.

Part of me was convinced it would work, I’d fuck someone else, break Emma’s spell, and move on with my life. Another part of me knew it wouldn’t work.

I had to try.

The next thing I knew my cell was in my hand I was calling Cami. We were never an official couple, we never went to events together, and I didn’t know much about Cami’s personal life, but she was drama free, uber laid back, and an ex-model with an incredible body. In short, Cami was fun, a great time in bed, and not Emma.

After some back and forth and Cami playing hard to get, I convinced her to come to my office. I told her about my fantasy, and how I always wanted to be a billionaire and fuck a model in my office. She took the bait, hell, she was more excited about it than I was.

Did I like that I had to pull the billionaire card to get her to come over? No. But since we’d had sex before the money, it seemed fine.
