“Andie, I fear very little. It excites me when you toy with me.”

“Then you understand how I feel when you use just a little bit of force on me.”

He groaned lightly.“Tell me your lips are mine.Tell me I can kiss you whenever…however…I wish.”

I held his braid, realizing what I was doing.Playing with fire.

“Molev, I…can’t.”

He didn’t get upset. He simply grabbed my hair the way I like and set his forehead to mine.

“You are right.Neither of us can afford to be distracted by your tempting lips. Not yet.But soon, Andie.Soon you will tell me you’re mine.”

He released me and stepped back.

“Go watch your movie with the others.I will join you soon.”He closed himself in our bathroom.

Shaking from the adrenaline rush, I stood there for a moment and listened to the shower run.We liked toying with each other.Did he have any idea how badly I wanted to march into that bathroom and see how far I could push him?Exhaling slowly, I left him alone as he asked.

When he joined us, his hair was wet, his bandages were missing, and he was wearing a pair of athletic shorts that fit him like spandex.I looked at what he was packing.Roni had said it was the size of her forearm, and that wasn’t much of an exaggeration.

Roni glanced at him and did a double-take.“Now you’re just being a tease, Molev.”

Roland looked at him and recoiled.“That’s just not right.”

“It looks like he’s smuggling an overgrown zucchini, right?”Roni said, her unblinking stare at Molev’s groin making him frown.

“Nope,” Steve said, standing.“We are not looking at that for the next however many hours or days it takes to make a vaccine.”

“Try weeks,” Katie said.“Maybe even months.”She was doing her own share of staring.

Steve threw open the door and strode outside.

“I really hope it’s months,” Roni said under her breath.

“I second that nope,” Brandon said, vaulting over the couch and bolting out the door.

Molev looked at me.

“They’ll find you some looser clothes,” I said.

Molev grunted and took Brandon’s place on the couch beside me.Roni smirked and wiggled her eyebrows.Katie looked like she was trying to do long division in her head.

“Shouldn’t your stitches be covered?”I asked Molev, trying to shift their focus.

“They were starting to itch.”

“Itching is a sign of healing,” Katie said.“So that’s good.”

“How long were the stitches in your arm before I removed them?”Roni asked.

“Seven, maybe eight days,” he answered.

“About the same for a human,” she said.“But yours looked like they were in a week too long. We’ll need to watch the stitches on your back.Maybe start wearing shirts around other people if you don’t want anyone else to realize just how fast you heal.”

I glanced at Molev and wondered if that was something they would be able to tell by his blood.

“What are you thinking?”he asked.
