It wasn't that she didn't love the life she had with Declan because she did. But having family around was so different.

"Are you looking forward to the festival tonight?"

Hanna nodded. "I can't wait. I heard the food is to die for."

"When are the guys going to be arriving exactly? Speaking of arriving, where is Lexi?" she asked, leaning back in her chair. She looked over the breakfast laid out and quickly snatched herself a muffin. She peeled back the wrapping and took a bite.

"She's coming. She has the pack kids, last I heard, and the boys should be here an hour or so before lunch. Just enough time to rest and get dolled up for the festival."

"Wait? Are we dressing up?" Taryn asked and felt something inside her shrivel and die.

Her sisters loved getting glammed up, but she wasn’t that big of a fan.

They all looked at her with wide eyes. She sank into her chair.

"Of course," Addison said. "You can't go to a festival, a music festival in town, and not dress up. Come on. This is a night you want to unwind and relax."

Hanna nodded. "Yeah, and it would be a great way to chill and have a good time."

As much as she would’ve loved to just forget about everything that had happened, it wasn't that simple. But she understood her sister's point. She should unwind for the evening and then start over tomorrow.

She looked at all the craft items scattered across the table with the food. She took another bite. "So, garland then?"

Hanna nodded. "I know it's silly, considering there is more than enough money to pay for everything, but this just felt like something fun to do. And I figured it would be great for us all to bond."

She looked at the different projects they had already started. There was tinsel and glitter all over the table. There was glue and tape in a large pile. She laughed at all the rope and ribbon.

"So, what projects are we planning to accomplish today?"

"You need centerpieces," Addison started. "I was thinking you could do jars with a couple of flowers and a cute message on each of them with the number of the table."

"That sounds cute," she said, agreeing. She was grateful her sisters were here because she wouldn't even know where to start.

"And we need to get some more garland. I was thinking it would be cute to drape it over a tree, and everyone could have a charming spot to take photos."

She liked that idea as well, and both seemed to already be working on it.

"So, what does that leave me?"

"Have you written your vows?"

Taryn frowned. She hadn't.

She hadn’t really thought about it with everything going on. And if she was being honest with herself, Taryn hadn’t wanted to think about that aspect of the wedding.

"You can work on that," Hanna said, threading another flower.

"I wouldn't know where to begin," she said, grabbing another muffin. "And I still have plenty of time to think about what to say.”

Hanna was about to reply when the door was thrown open, and a bunch of kids from the pack came running in with Lexi.

Taryn was glad that Lexi had arrived because it was a distraction from whatever Hanna had been about to say.

"Sorry," Lexi said as she laughed her way inside. "The kids caught wind of what was going on and wanted to join. I figured we could babysit them today."

Taryn softly smiled at the children. She wondered how Declan felt about kids and how many he wanted.

The kids took seats, and she watched them all play and try to help where they could. Hanna had several helping her, and Addison passed around a few jars to fill with flowers. She knew she should be thinking of vows, but her mind was elsewhere. It was everywhere but in that room.
