“Are you going to stop being a grump?” Brody asks.

“Maybe once he explores Eden’s hidden valleys,” Elder suggests with a wink.

Brody nods in agreement. “Yep. Someone needs his oil checked.”

“A bit of adult naptime,” Riley adds.

“I’m not having sex with Eden,” I grumble.

My cock must misunderstand what I’m saying because it twitches at the idea of laying Eden out naked on her bed and sinking deep into her body. I lock my muscles and recite the recipe for our summer session IPA in my head before I end up getting hard in front of my brothers.

“He’s totally thinking about Eden riding his little pony express now,” Riley says.

I grunt. “I think we’ve established there’s nothing small about my express.”

Elder bumps my shoulder. “We’re twins. We’re the same size.”

“We’re fraternal twins,” I remind him.

He reaches for his belt. “Let’s measure.”

Brody holds up his phone. “I’ve got the tape measure app all ready.”

“Aren’t you going to do something about this?” I ask Peace. He’s a police officer in town. He should stop them.

His brow wrinkles. “About what?”

“He’s getting naked in public.”

He shrugs. “This is Winter Falls. Nudity is not a crime.”

“Why not?” I ask despite being acquainted with the unusual rules of Winter Falls. The word quirky was invented for this town.

“You’ve lived here for a few years now, you should know this.”

“Humor me.”

“Nudity is perfectly natural.”

Elder wags his finger in my face before I can respond to Peace. “Nice try, Mr. Grumpy. You know damn well nudity isn’t illegal in Winter Falls. You’re trying to change the subject away from your crush – Eden.”

“Miller has a crush,” Brody sings.

I say the one thing guaranteed to shut everyone up. “Have you discovered anything about our other sibling?” I ask Peace.

Elder and Brody scowl in unison before focusing their attention on Peace. Elder and I found out Peace was our half-brother when we did one of those at home genealogical tests. Last month, another possible match surfaced. Since Peace is a police officer, we asked him to do a bit a digging on the person before deciding what to do.

Peace crosses his arms over his chest. “I’m still making inquiries.”

Riley frowns. “But he’s not necessarily our brother?”

“I’m still making inquiries,” Peace repeats.

“You’re changing the subject to avoid discussing Eden,” Elder accuses me.

Of course, I’m avoiding the subject. Eden hates me. I can never have her. There’s nothing to discuss.

The bell over the door chimes and the first guests of the day enter. Excellent timing.
