Pressing a kiss to my cheek, Simon joins Oliver in setting up the table. While they arrange the dishes and cutlery, I join Seth.

“What’s the rush?” I ask. “Do you guys have a meeting or something at the headquarters today?”

He shakes his head. “We have something else planned for the day and you’ll be joining us.”

Surprise flickers through me. “Me?”

He grins and leans down to capture my lips. Despite the curiosity burning within me, I kiss him back.

His powerful arms wrap around me, pulling me against his hard body.

I moan, loving the feel of his hard muscles digging into my soft curves. The feel of his velvety tongue against mine makes me forget all the questions I had in mind.

I’m a breathless mess by the time he steps away. My core throbs hard, yearning for his touch.

Pressing my thighs together, I move toward the table where my mates are eagerly loading up their plates.

“Coffee?” Simon asks, holding up the pot.

I nod. “Sure.”

The scent of coffee arouses my senses, making me feel alert. Grabbing the mug, I take my first sip and savor the taste of my morning brew.

“Where are we going?” I ask, gazing around the table.

“Do you remember telling me you wanted to see the other rescued omegas?” Seth asks.

I nod. “I wanted to see how they were doing at the rehab center but you said I couldn’t go because they were being kept in a secure location.”

“I didn’t want to get your hopes up before finalizing everything,” Seth explains. “I wanted to take you sooner but we needed clearance from the Solveig Pack alphas since the rehab facility is set up by them.”

“Oh...” I think back to the day when Seth told me they’d captured the leader of the Black Widow. The public still has no idea about it, allowing them to carry out their investigations in secret.

“Did you tell them who I was?” I ask in a grim tone.

The Burton brothers nod in sync.

“We’re sorry about revealing your identity as one of the omegas we rescued,” Oliver says in a lowered voice. “It was the only way they’d understand why we wanted to bring an outsider to the rehabilitation center that is being so closely guarded.”

“You shouldn’t let it bother you, though,” Seth says in a grim, calm tone. “Caleb, Damon, and Raiden will never disclose your identity to anyone. They’re as firm as us when it comes to protecting you and the others.”

“They’re the alphas from the Solveig Pack?”

“Yeah,” Simon replies. “They’re also our cousin’s mates.”

“Would I be meeting them today?” I ask, feeling a tinge of nervousness at the prospect of meeting strange alphas.

“You’ll probably meet Raiden,” says Oliver. “Simon and I are closest to him. We’ve been pals since our time together in the military academy. He’ll supervise our visit but don’t worry about him. He’ll watch us from a distance. You don’t have to bother being friendly with him.”

“Wouldn’t that be rude, though?” I ask, still feeling worried. “He’s your cousin’s mate, after all. You guys are practically family.”

Oliver leans in, gazing into my eyes. “You’re starting to worry about our pack dynamics now?”

“I—uhh—” I falter as my cheeks warm up.

A smile comes onto his lips. “I can’t wait to make it official that you’re truly our mate.”

“Heather and her dad already know,” Simon adds, grinning mischievously. “Mom and Grandpa have met her too. Do we need anyone else’s approval to make it official? All the important folks know about us.”
