“What do we do?” Cody asks with a tremble in her voice, I fucking hate that I have brought this fear into their lives. Leah looks to me.
“Should we call Becky?” I nibble on my bottom lip as I debate her question. I know he’ll come straight back if I called but then I don’t want to give this asshole the satisfaction of knowing he has me riled up and scared. I open my mouth to answer her question but snap it closed when my phone begins to vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out and answer it when I see it’s Jeff.
“Hey,” I answer.
“Hey, beautiful, how are you?”
“Uh, yeah good.” Then an idea strikes. “What are you doing, right now?”
“Nothing, why’s that?”
“Do you want to come hang out?” I sigh in relief when Jeff agrees. I give the address. “See you soon,” I say as I hang up and shoot the girls a smile, only for it to drop off my face when I see the stunned looks on their faces. “What?”
“Nope, I’m having no part in that. I’ll take my chances with the stalker.” I frown at Cody confused as hell.
“Beck is going to lose his shit!” Leah rushes to say.
“Why?” I ask as I look between them both.
“The five of them are alpha males, they do not like any other guy around their girls and you my dear friend just signed your pussy up to be denied orgasms.” Leah laughs and is quickly joined by Cody as I stand here slightly worried that Leah may be right. No, Beck will be happy that Jeff is here protecting us until he gets home, right?

The moment Jeff gets here, the girls dashed into the games’ room and refused to have any part of thepussy killing missionas they put it. We quickly stuffed the flowers back into the box and hid them in the kitchen before I let Jeff in. We’ve been sitting here in the living room alternating between doing homework and playing with Dawson. I managed to reschedule all my tutor session and push them to next week as Beck doesn’t want me tutoring anyone until we find out who is behind the stalking.
“That’s my boy.” I cringe hearing those words come out of Jeff’s mouth. I look down to see him and Dawson building Lego and Dawson has managed to make a castle.
“Momma, look.” I smile at my boy and clap my hands.
“You are so clever!” I say as I stand to check on dinner. Cody and Leah took over for me, insisting that I entertain Jeff. What they mean, is they want to stay as far away from Jeff as possible so they don’t get in shit. “You sure I can’t help?” I ask them. They both shake their heads and shoo me from the kitchen. I check the clock on the wall and my anxiety begins to build knowing Beck and the others will be home any minute. I reclaim my spot on the sofa and go back to trying to finish my English paper when Jeff drops down beside me peering over my shoulder at my screen. I shift away slightly not liking being this close to him, the last thing I want is for Beck to through the door and get the wrong idea.
“Ah, you still haven’t finished your paper for Moss?” he asks and I shake my head.
“Nope. Between moving, Dawson and… other things, I’ve fallen behind a bit,” I admit honestly.
“Other things as in work?”
“Uh… No, I don’t work at the diner anymore,” I answer.
“Since when?” I snap my gaze to him shocked to hear a tinge of anger in his tone.
“A while now, why?”
“Just didn’t pick you as the type of girl to let a guy buy you.” My mouth drops open in shock that he would say something like that.
“Excuse me?” I bite out.
He shrugs his shoulders like he didn’t just insult me. “Just saying, it’s not a good look ya know. You just meet the guy, quit your job, skip school and move in with him. I mean, don’t you think that’s a bit confusing for Dawson?” My anger gets the better of me. I place my laptop on the table and stand glaring down at Jeff.
“You need to leave,” I growl. He climbs to his feet looking thoroughly confused.
“Why, what’s wrong?”
I scoff as I place my hands on my hips. “You pretty much just called me a whore!”
“What? No, I didn’t,” he rushes to say before reaching out and gripping my arms. I try to pull free but his grip is ironclad.
“Let me go.”
