This encryption was much tougher than I had expected. The Albanians were smart to go to extra lengths to protect their data, but it sucked for me. It looked like there was no way for me to get out of looking like a traitor to my father. Either way, from this point on I was on borrowed time. There was nothing I could do about it now.

He sat down at his desk. “Vesim is hosting a huge party with most of the ruthless arms dealers at his mansion in three days. Cian and I will get prepared, infiltrate the party, and hack the hard drive there.”

Does he really think he is leaving me out of all this? This is my revenge and my life is on the line. He’s delusional if he thinks I’ll let him keep me away from Vesim’s mansion. This could be the break I need.

“You're not leaving me out of this. If you're able to trade in the mansion. Guess what, I'm going to see it and watch the cameras.

Cian pinched me. “You can watch the cameras. You don’t have to be inside the mansion to be a part of this. Being our eyes and ears will help us get in and out quickly.”

Shaking my head, I bit my tongue. There was no way I was waiting on the sideline when they entered Vesim’s home. For now, I would keep my mouth shut and go along with their plan. Then, I would figure out my next move.

Mikhail stood. “Viktor said he will talk with us when we get back. We can’t afford any recklessness or rogue behavior. Let me introduce you to the four people that will be coming with us. Zakhar is in route and will be here by the time we get on the plane.” He pressed a button. “Guys come on in.”

A few minutes later, two females and two male walked in.

Both women were drop dead gorgeous, with dark brunette hair and light eyes. The men didn’t look like nerds and there wasn’t anything that stood out about them. Based on looks, the team looked solid. I was curious as to what their skillset was.

He smiled. “Anya, this is Irma Varoshi, and Jetmira Useni. They are the sharpest females you’ll ever meet and they are from Prague. Stay close to them if you’re ever uncertain or run into unknown situations. The tall man on the left is Tarion Thika and the muscular man on the right is Besa Xhaferi. Team this Anya Aslanov and Cian O’Brien.”

He has Albanians working for him. Mikhail was a wealth of knowledge with international connections. I can befriend these ladies and find out what they know. This situation might now suck after all.

She tossed her hair over her shoulder. “Mikhail, I know I owe you my life, but I’m not ready to die yet. What were you thinking when you brought her with us? Everyone knows there’s a billion-dollar hit on her head.”

“Jetmira, that is why you’re here. Your job is to make sure her head remains attached to her body,” said Mikhail.

It looks like we won’t be doing any girl bonding on this trip.

I cleared my throat. “It’s nice to meet you. When are we leaving?”

“Wheels up in twenty minutes. I can head to the plane now,” said Mikhail.

It didn’t take us long for us to enter an elevator and head to the rooftop.

As soon as I slid in the window seat, I inhaled his scent. Cian sat down and placed his hand over mine. I was certain he knew that I hadn’t let the matter of Vesim’s house go; he was right. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes. A part of me had hoped that one of the women would sit next to me but I should’ve known better. Cian started messaging my shoulders, and neck. By the time the plane took off, he had loosened my ponytail, and was raking his nails across my scalp.

Placing my hand on his knee, I opened my eyes. “Where are we landing exactly?”

Looking over his shoulder, I watched as a muscular man wearing all black carried three suitcases on the plane. There was no doubt in my mind that he was Mikhail’s brother. The family resemblance was strong. If I had to guess, Mikhail was the younger brother, although I was certain that he was older than me. The deadly aura that surrounded Zakhar Vinogradov was enough to send goosebumps up my arm.

“We’ll land in Prague in nine hours. Get some rest. When we land, you might not get anymore sleep for a while. Anya, I’ve got you. You never need to fear anyone ever again.”

Asharp pain gripped my left nipple, and I jerked awake. After smacking Cian’s fingers away from my breast, I noticed that we were the only two people still on the plane. Behind us, the door was opened and I could hear the others talking outside.

I stood up. “Why didn’t you wake me before we landed?”

He smiled. “You were tired. It’s not like they will leave us. Let’s go. It’s time to go to the hotel.”

The weather wasn’t bad, and the sky was clear. There were two black SUVs parked in the parking lot.

Zakhar was standing near the second one. “We’ll divide into two teams. Tarion, Jetmira, and Besa you will ride with me. Everyone else rides with Mikhail.”

He handed Mikhail a suitcase, gave Tarion one, and kept the last one for himself.

“Damn, brother, we are not spending months here. Are you sure we need all this?” said Mikhail.

“I like to be over prepared. Follow me. The later it gets, traffic starts to suck. We must move,” said Zakhar.
