“Definitely, but you might have to be a little flexible.”
“I’ll start taking yoga.”
Keera laughed at my pathetic joke and it ended on a yawn.
“Sorry, it’s been a long day.”
“I guess neither of us got much sleep last night, but I don’t have any regrets about that.”
“Me neither.”
“I’m very happy to hear it.”
A charged silence zinged through the phone line. I kind of wish I asked Keera to come over when she was done at the studio, but that would have been selfish. Like I said, neither of us got much sleep last night so it’s for the best that we get some tonight.
“Last night was amazing, Simon. I really had a great time.”
“I did too. Maybe we can get together tomorrow night and discuss it some more?”
“Hmm, I think I’d rather get together and maybedoit some more.”
My laugh echoed through the room.
“That’s even better than what I had in mind.”
“What did you have in mind?”
“Dinner.”
“I’ll be done at the studio at seven, so we can fit in both.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
“Now that we have that sorted,” she said. “Anjannette told me that Leo is renting out Electric City Axe Throwing Saturday night and asked if we want to go along. I mentioned that we might be doing something with Shannon and she said to bring her along.”
“I spoke with her earlier and she’s not making plans with her friends, so she’ll definitely be around. Are other people going?”
“I’m not sure. Why?”
“She may not want to go if it’s just the five of us.”
“I’ll ask Anjannette tomorrow,” she said. “I’m really looking forward to spending some time with Shannon. I plan on hearing all your embarrassing stories.”
“I’m sure she’s looking forward to telling you all of them,” I said. “Just remember that turnabout is fair play. You have a brother who I’m sure would love to fill me in on you.”
“I’m sure my whole family would love to fill you in.”
“That’s something to look forward to.” She yawned again and I figured it was time to hang up. “I’ll let you go so you can get to sleep. I’ll pick you up at the studio at seven?”
“Why don’t you make one of your Hello Fresh! meals and I’ll come over when I’m done at the studio?”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.”
