I give her a lopsided grin and tilt my head to the side, something my alpha can’t resist. She says I’m just too cute, and I can’t say I disagree with her. I’m fucking adorable.

Jordan is the last to make it to the living room, lazily slinking onto the plush sofa and sprawling out like he hasn’t a care in the world. His sandalwood scent is subtle and delicious- just like him- and I have to fight back the urge to straddle his lap and ride him when that scent hits me.

Rhett takes a seat on the other side of the sofa and props his chin on his palm, grinning roguishly at me.

“One of you smells sweet. Like cotton candy and some kind of melon,” Jordan says, his head propped in his hand, black hair hanging freely.

“Hmm… Yes, you’re right. Gabe?” Rhett retorts, looking at me.

I narrow my eyes at him and scowl, throwing myself into the armchair across from the couch, and pulling Sasha down with me.

“You’re such an aggravating shit,” I tell him, rolling my eyes.

“Come on. Who does the scent belong to,Moy Svet?” Sasha teases, pinching my cheek.

My Light.

It’s something she’s called me since the very beginning.

My dick, of course, immediately responds to the language switch, pressing against her plush ass. I grunt as I push my hips up on instinct, which has a purr vibrating in her chest and a dirty grin resting on her lips.

“It’s nothing… She just bumped into me at the coffee shop,” I mumble.

“Who?” Jordan asks.

I sigh, readjusting Sasha in my lap, wrapping my arms around her middle, and resting my chin on her shoulder.

“Her name is Shade. She’s an omega and was having a spike, so I helped her outside before something happened, and then offered to escort her home.”

“Don’t forget to tell them about offering her your number in case sheneededanything,” Rhett snorts, his dark eyes twinkling as he chuckles softly.

Sasha and Jordan both raise their brows and straighten as they look at me. I avoid their probing gazes, instead glaring at Rhett for being such a pain in my ass.

Gods.

“Oh, do tell, Omega,” Sasha purrs, running her nails across my scalp, which has my eyes rolling into the back of my head.

“She just… Um… She smelled enticing and reacted to me in a way no omega ever has before, and it just kind of popped out.” I groan, tilting my head forward slightly.

“You just offered to help a random omega through her heat?” Jordan snorts.

“No, not necessarily. I gave her my number in case things don’t go the way she planned. It seemed like she was caught off guard, and it is short notice for the Center. I doubt she’ll call.” I pout, sure that she won’t.

Why would she? I’m just an omega and I don’t have what she needs. I mean, sure, River and Ripley make it work, but they’ve also got alphas. I don’t know if my alphas would be okay with another omega, and if they are, am I completely sure that I wouldn’t mind seeing another omega with them?

I think I’d be okay with it judging by the way Shade made me feel earlier, but how would I know for sure unless we tried?

A heat isn’t necessarily the time to be experimenting.

Maybe I should call Ripley and ask her for advice or… something. I don’t know.

Just in case…

“Do you…wanther to call?” Jordan asks, sitting up and looking at me with parted lips and wide eyes.

I struggle to answer him, unsure of what exactly I want.

I know how I felt in her presence and how I didn’t want to leave her, despite hardly knowing her.
