“Did you think I didn’t share the same feelings you did?” he asked.

“Honestly, I didn’t know,” I said. “I wondered but I told myself that was crazy. There was no way you would want me. I’m, well, me. I’m Emmy, the girl you made fun of through my acne and braces phase. You’ve watched me grow up. I just feel so inadequate in the woman department. You’ve dated some really pretty women. Sophisticated women who walk runways and have bodies goddesses would be jealous of.”

He laughed and put his hand on my thigh. “You are sexier than any goddess.”

I felt myself blushing. It was weird to hear him talk like that to me. “Really?”

“Look, I think we’re doing this wrong,” he said.

“We’re doing it wrong?” I asked.

“We’re being weird,” he said. “I feel it, you feel it.”

He was right. “I guess I do.”

“Let’s do this the right way. I’d like to take you out to dinner. A real date. Our first official date. I’m going to get dressed up and you’ll get dressed up. We’ll go somewhere nice. Does that sound like a plan?”

I nodded. “It does.”

“We’ll take things slow,” he said. “If it doesn’t feel right, we’ll stop. We don’t have to force anything. We do what feels right.”

“I like that.” I smiled.

In a flash, the atmosphere changed. That same heat I felt the night on the terrace was back. The air sizzled between us. He leaned in to kiss me. My heart pounded in my chest. I could feel the electricity between us, the anticipation built with each passing second. This was the moment I had been waiting for. The moment on the terrace had been amazing, but it had been something that sprang up from a moment of passion. This was different. This was the two of us sharing our first kiss as a couple. Analmostcouple.

Our lips met and I felt a rush of emotions wash over me. The softness of his lips against mine was intoxicating. I felt myself losing control. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me in closer, deepening the kiss.

The chemistry between us was undeniable. My body responded to his every move. Our bodies were pressed together, and I could feel the heat emanating from his skin. I savored the moment, not wanting it to end. His hand reached up and grabbed my breast. I moaned into his mouth. I was ready to have him right there.

I met every kiss eagerly. Our hands roamed over each other’s bodies, exploring and discovering new sensations. The soft sound of our wet kisses echoed around the room. The kiss deepened as he pulled me closer to him. His fingers tangled in my hair. I moaned softly again, completely lost in the sensation of his touch.

Our bodies moved together in a rhythm only our ears could hear. Our passion built with each passing moment. We were both lost in the moment, lost in each other, as we melded into one. He leaned against me, gently pushing me down to the couch. His body covered mine.

Finally, as the intensity peaked, we broke apart, gasping for breath. “We can’t,” I said, breathing hard.

He groaned. “Why?”

“We’re on Julia’s couch.” I giggled. “I don’t think they would appreciate us fucking on their couch.”

“Fuck,” he groaned and moved off me. He ran his hand through his hair. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I just get carried away when it comes to you.”

That made me feel like a queen. “I think we’ll have to wait until we’re somewhere more appropriate.”

“That seems to be the story of my life with you.” He sighed. “I would have had you come to my place and this would not be an issue. You didn’t want to come to my place and now we’re here and I can’t have you.”

“You’re pouting,” I said.

“I know.”

“I’m glad you set me up. It was sketchy, but effective.”

“It was a last resort,” he confessed. “I didn’t want to trick you, but I had to talk to you. I hated thinking you were pissed at me.”

“I wasn’t pissed at you,” I said. “Absolutely not. I couldn’t be mad at you. I was humiliated. I couldn’t believe I kissed you. When you pulled away, I thought I made a huge mistake.”

“Again,Ikissedyou,” he said with a cocky smirk. “I only stopped because we were about to get naked in front of a hundred people. I was hard and ready to take you up against the railing, but in the back of my mind, I kept thinking about your dad.”

“Ew,” I said, making a face.
