Or would she? There was a lot of good that could be done with that money and Cyrus was never going to do it.

"It depends."

"Right. You think he may have put other assets in my name."

"It's almost a certainty. He is too short sighted to realize that he would not always have control of you, much less those assets that legally now belong to you."

"That does sound like Cyrus. What if I give it all back? Then he'll leave me alone."

"Is that what you really want?"

"I wanted to do some good with the money I got out of the divorce. I didn't ask for it, but it is mine and I thought I could make a difference."

"You still can."

"Once I give it all away, he won't have any reason to keep after me either," she said, realizing that was the truth. Oh, Cyrus, not to mention her father, would be furious.

She'd no doubts that they had some kind of deal to exchange the shares in each other's company if they succeeded in pressuring her into remarrying him. Not that she expected Cyrus would honor his side of the bargain. Her father was a fool if he did, but that was his lookout.

"So, this isn't necessary," she mused aloud.

"No, I don't think it is." Lysander gave her one of his rare slashing grins. "Not for the sake of ridding you of Cyrus, anyway."

And suddenly, she wasn't thinking about how to get rid of her ex, but what it would feel like to have Lysander's hands on her body, to have license to touch him as much as she liked. Those thoughts made her heart race.

Her mouth opened and a small puff of air expelled from her chest.

She wanted him.

And it didn't have a darn thing to do with revenge.

"I'm not married anymore." That felt like something important to say right then.

"No, you are not. I do not have a lover at present either."

"You don't sleep with more than one woman at the same time?" she asked, not sure she'd believe him if Lysander said no.

He shook his head. "I do not. I have had many lovers, but never more than one at a time."

"You don't do commitment."

"No, but I do temporary fidelity when the sex goes beyond a single night."

"What about Adele Fournier?" The French supermodel had been photographed on Lysander's arm several times over the past couple of years.

"Adele and I have a mutually beneficial arrangement. She likes to attend the functions I have to for business."

"Are you saying you never sleep with her?"

"I am saying that there is no expectation of commitment or fidelity on either side."

"The billionaire's version of friends with benefits." Of course, hisfriendwas considered one of the most beautiful women in the world.

"While I find Adele's company less irritating than some, I would not say we are friends."

Why didn't that surprise her? Rowan wondered if the Greek tycoon considered anyone an actual friend.

Regardless, she wasn't looking for long term either. She was in fact, only proposing one night.
