"I was still fighting it. I told myself it was a gift, not an engagement ring."

"But you never gave it to me." And that ring couldn't be mistaken for anything but the kind of bling a man gave a woman to claim her.

"Because no matter how I lied to myself, I knew giving it to you came with a question I wasn't ready to ask."

"I want children if we can have them." Images of a baby girl with his dark eyes, and a little boy with Lysander's chiseled chin filled her mind.

Rowan's ovaries clenched with anticipation.

"Is that a yes?"

"It's a negotiation."

He laughed, his eyes warm with the emotion she had no trouble naming now. Love. "I'm eager to hear your terms."

"My purse has a spot beside the sofa in the den."

"Done."

"I know you aren't going to work forty hours a week, but I need you to be present or there's no point in getting married." She wasn't having children to raise as a single parent either.

"I'm already working on a more manageable schedule. Losing a few million in deals is nothing in comparison to losing you."

From her tycoon? That was heart-meltingly sweet.

"I want vacations. A minimum of four a year."

"Done."

She gasped. She'd expected major pushback on that and had thought she'd have to settle for two at the most.

She narrowed her eyes. "A vacation is defined as seven or more days without working more than two hours a day."

He kissed her. "It will go in the prenup."

"Speaking of, there will be no monetary incentives, or otherwise for longevity or children in this prenup." That was becoming a common thing and she didn't like the cynicism of it. "Our staying together won't be because I'm looking for a bigger payout."

He didn't saydonethis time. He kissed her with voracious need. They made love and somewhere along the way, the ring ended up on her finger.

Afterward, while their hearts were still racing and her breathing was still ragged, she said the words, "Yes. I will marry you, Sander. I love you more than anyone or anything. I didn't know this kind of love was even possible. I've never felt it. Never seen it. But I feel it now. You are my everything."

"We are everything together."

"Yes."

"If you hadn't shown up at my gate, I would have gone looking for you."

That was a big admission for him, revealing a need and vulnerability that filled her with joy.

She owed him the same level of honesty. "I didn't come to you because I wanted revenge on my ex. That was my excuse, for myself and for you. I came because I wanted you."

She had always wanted him, even when she hadn't allowed her conscious brain to acknowledge it because she was married to another man. Lysander was it for her.

"I'm sure you realize by now that my suggestion we have an affair had nothing to do with Cyrus either." Lysander kissed her, his hand rubbing up and down the naked skin of her back. "I never realized what real desire was until I met you and you were married to my damned brother."

"Half-brother. You're not an Andino. You are a Baros and I love you, Lysander Baros."
