Jagger just shook his head.

Since MATE still hadn’t gone into holographic mode, despite Elizabeth telling it to, they had to keep trying.

“Merry, try your name. Maybe you have access. You were a Fed, so…”

“MATE? Can I access you?” she asked. “Do you have my voice on file?”

The system hummed.

“That would be negative, Merry Savage.”

Damn it.

Dakota knew how Elizabeth worked.

So, he tried.

“MATE, who in the room has access to your system at that level?” he asked.

The system hummed.

Then, they had their answer.

“Maura Gaines-Mars-Armstrong-O’Banion has access to my system. Clearance level five. Place hand on the tablet for scanning.”

Well, that was good to know.

Maura picked up the tablet, and it was black. As soon as she put her hand on it, there was a green scan bar that went from one side of the tablet to the other, scanning her full handprint.

Then, it happened.

The system unlocked.

“What do you wish to know?” MATE asked. “You have full authorization.”

Well, that worked for them.

Merry went for it.

“Can you pull up Silas Marx’s and Milo Hix's criminal records with the bureau of prisons?” she asked. “With visuals on them.”

She got what she asked for.

In front of her, the holograms appeared, and Merry stood there and moved her arms. The holograms turned, showing them a full three-sixty of each man.

They were able to see their tattoos and heights in comparison to them.

That was helpful.

“Okay, now, we need to find them.”

MATE hummed.

“Last trackable date was three months ago at four-seventeen Duval Street, apartment four. That was when the ankle bracelet was last detected.”

Okay, so they had a location too.

“Run that address for any possible owners. Check titles and deeds,” Maura said.
