On the napkin beneath his drink, he saw something.
When he moved the beer, his heart skipped in his chest.

There was a heart around it, and his body flushed warm as he watched her go back behind the bar to do her job.
Apparently, she didn’t mind having a bossy older man running roughshod over her.
