Damn.

Fast.

As for the baby she was carrying, Maura was kinda hoping she was having a girl, so that they could have two little princesses.

Jagger was definitely a girl dad.

She knew that was what he wanted next for their growing family.

She was curious.

“Speaking of fathers, did my husband come through here?” she asked.

Marsha nodded and lowered her voice.

“Cher, he’s stirred up. He didn’t even bother saying boo or anything. He is being haunted by something,” she said, making the sign of protection from evil. “I think he’s worried about you.”

Yeah, she figured as much.

When everyone pointed out that she and he were on the danger list for Alexsandr Dominik, she knew it was only a matter of time before he lost it.

When he disappeared, that was a ‘Jagger is struggling’ kind of a deal.

Yeah, she knew it when she saw it.

“Well, don’t worry, Marsha. I’m going to go check on him.”

Violet was curious.

“Can I go see my mom and dad?” she asked. “Or do I have to stay here? I don’t want to sneak in and get grounded again.”

Yeah, well, at least she was learning her lesson.

Only, this was a tough one.

“Violet, Baby, she’s on a mission. She’s working right now, so she’s not here.”

She looked worried.

“Then how about dad?” she asked.

They had some time before Adder and Mamba moved on that house, so she didn’t see the harm in it.

“Okay, you can, but if she starts working, you can’t distract her. You need to come back here with Marsha, okay?”

She smiled.

“I won’t distract her,” she admitted.

Then she didn’t see the harm in it.

“Go.”

The young girl handed Michael to Marsha and headed off.

Marsha lowered her voice, again.

“As a heads-up, Cher, that little one said she wants to be like her mom. She mentioned becoming a Marine.”
