Oh, but she wasn’t out.
Slowly, she released the breath that she was holding and played unconscious.
What she had to hope was that they’d toss her into the van with Remington, and not restrain her.
As they were both carried, she was careful to keep her heart slow, the panic from setting in, and her breathing normal.
When they dropped her into the van, they quickly duct-taped her hands and slapped a piece over her mouth.
But that was all.
As for Remington, she could hear them really duct-taping him well.
“Take them to the warehouse,” the one said. “She’ll be out over an hour. I dosed her good. He’s restrained for when he comes to. When you get them there, put her in one room, and him in another. She’s ours to use, but he’s to be left untouched. The boss wants to play with him.”
There was laughter.
“Oh, well, she’ll enjoy it. If I liked dudes, I’d have a hard time not wanting to fuck him.”
“She has some drugs she plans on dosing him with to make him…malleable. Again.”
Both men laughed.
Calyx did not.
There was no fucking way that skank was putting her body anywhere near his. She had to make sure of that.
When she heard the back door of the truck close, she waited until they were moving before she carefully opened her eyes.
When she did, there was barely any light in the whole van, with just a little from a window above the storage area.
When she turned her head, Remington was still out.
Looping her hands beneath her ass and pulling her arms through, she got her hands in front of her.
She slowly pulled off the duct tape over her mouth and then began gnawing through the tape at her wrists.
That’s when she saw him move.
His head moved toward her, and she could see he was trying to focus.
“Shhhhh,” she whispered. “We just started moving. Let me get free, and I’ll help you,” she said as they kept being driven through the city traffic.
Remington nodded.
God.
He’d been so scared when he went out.
Because she needed to hear his voice, she stopped chewing and reached for his mouth to set it free.
When she got the tape off, he needed to know.
“Did they touch you?” he asked.
Oh, she knew what he meant.
Keeping her voice low, she reassured him.
