“They didn’t, but they plan on it. We’re going to a warehouse. They’re going to separate us, and then I’m free game. Artemis is going to drug you. She’s going to have sex with you.”

“We have to get out of here,” she whispered.
Oh, he agreed.
He wasn’t letting her drug him again. The last time, it was a free-for-all. The sex had been out of control, and he’d had no chance of stopping it.
It was like being in a haze, and it ended up with a second round the next day as he was still feeling the aftereffects.
“How many are there?” he whispered.
“Three. There were five. The other two went back into the bar. I heard shots. I think they killed everyone who was in there.”
“My phone…”
She broke through the tape at her wrists.
“They took both of them and I heard them smashing on the ground.”
Remmy knew this was bad.
He knew that he couldn’t call for backup. They were officially on their own. Without his phone, there was no way for Merry to track him.
Damn it.
When he saw Artemis…he was going to fuck her up in ways she never thought was possible.
She’d gone too far this time.
That was a vow.
“Baby, can you get me free?” he whispered. “I can fight them if you can release me.”
She began working on his hands.
Remington was laying facedown.
“Give me a few seconds. I’m doing this mostly blind. There’s very little light in here.”
“Can you feel around for anything you can use?”
She would as soon as his hands were free.
“Yes,” she said, finding the tape on his wrist and using her teeth to gnaw through it.
It didn’t take her long.
“Okay,” he said as soon as she was off of his body. “Tell me what you saw so I know what I’m working against.”
“There are three in the front. All three are shorter than you, but carrying guns. I saw knives too.”
He rubbed his wrists as she felt around the back of the van.
