They did what she asked because she was the boss. It wasn’t lost on anyone that the two archangels gave Saint and Ivan the look.
Saint just laughed.
“I really think they need the sticks yanked out of their asses.”
Yeah, that might be true. Someone held a grudge, and those someones were Archangels.
When they were gone, she lowered her voice.
“So you have her and it all went down without a hitch?” Elizabeth asked.
Maura and Jagger were curious. Actually, all of The Hunters were.
How could they not be?
Axelle nodded.
“Who do you have?” Zayn asked.
Elizabeth explained to them.
“I stole Artemis’ mother from a nursing home to use her as bait to catch her.”
They all stared at her.
Then, Rogue started laughing.
“Wait. You legit stole a whole-ass person?”
She shrugged.
It wasn’t like she’d been kidding.
“A girl has to do what a girl has to do,” she admitted. “I’m that girl in that scenario.”
Rogue headed her way and kissed her.
“You are my kind of crazy.”
That made her laugh.
Why?
Because she was well aware.
“I do try.”
Axelle knew they needed to handle this before they brought the woman in.
“Here’s the number that was in the system. Your tech hacked it and retrieved it. You were right. She’s skilled.”

Maura was curious.
