“What number are we talking about?”

She explained.

“Oh, we also stole the only link to Artemis. She gave the nursing home her contact information. We had my team hacker go in, change the information to her cell contact number, and took this number.”

They all stared at her.

She made it all seem so easy.

“We have a way to lure Artemis in. I just wanted to make sure that we’re all clear before this blows up on us. Is Remington safe?”

Well, holy shit.

This changed it up.

They could get Artemis to come to them.

“You are kidding, right?” Zayn asked. “You’re yanking our chains?”

She shook her head.

“Nope. We’re going to set up a meeting, and if she wants her mother safe, she’ll show. There’s one person she loves in this world. It’s her mother.”

Elizabeth wasn’t done.

“We had confirmation too. The CIA was behind trying to get into the system. Gabe is handling it this morning.”

“Handling it?” Jagger asked.

Oh, well, one could say that.

Elizabeth picked up a remote and turned on the TV so that they could hear the news.

She had on her way there.

Elizabeth put in a channel and let them see what had happened.

They all stared.

‘This morning, on his way to work, the Director of CIA intelligence was in a car accident. His body was flown to Walter Reid Medical. We haven’t heard more, but we will let you know as the story breaks.’

Maura laughed.

And laughed.

And laughed.

“An accident, huh? If he lives, he’s going to Leavenworth on the DL. That’s where all the bad spies go when they are made to ‘disappear’.”

She was well aware.

Bob was done.

That meant Artemis was alone.

“Gabe is handling that part. He’s pissed, too, so Bob has a rough one coming. IF he survives that collision with the black, unmarked car with the municipal plates that vaguely look like FBI cars.”

Oh, they all knew how that happened.
