That was funny.
“Well, you went after a fellow CIA agent’s wife and child. You ratted them out to a monster, where the little girl was sexually assaulted for hours and burned with cigarettes and cigars. You should talk about cuntiness, Artemis. You’re the foulest of the foul.”
“What do you want?” she asked. “Money?”
Elizabeth laughed.
“Oh, well, no. See, Artemis, I’m loaded a few times over, but I’m also not purchasable. I warned you years ago, and last time we saw each other in that alley. I told you if you and I crossed paths again, we were going to beef, and here we are, about to take down a whole herd.”
“She’s old. She doesn’t know where I am,” Artemis said.
Elizabeth glanced over at Gabby.
She nodded and gave her the thumbs up. They now had her hidey-hole in case she didn’t come to them. The woman, for a spook, seemed to underestimate her.
Bad idea.
“She’s such a sweet old lady,” Elizabeth stated. “I hope The Hunters don’t get access to her.”
There was a scream of rage.

Angry people made mistakes.
“Again, what do you want, cunt?”
She kept it short and sweet.
“You to meet with me. I’ll send the address to you when I arrive and get your mother in place. If you don’t show, guess who I’m handing her over to,” Elizabeth asked.
“Oh, I already know.”
“I’ll message you later, Cunty McCunt-y-son.”
And with that, the call went dead.
“Why didn’t you tell her to meet you now?” Zayn asked.
She glanced over.
“You think she’s not going to find every single mercenary she could and beat us there. She has no idea you guys know about the warehouse, right?”
Maura nodded.
“Not to our knowledge. We believe we stayed ahead of her on this.”
Then, that was the plan.
“Well, we’re going to surprise her. That’s where we’ll meet her. Meanwhile, the Marines will be hiding in the trees around it, expecting her to play dirty. I’ll be inside with Mom, and then, Major, she’s yours to apprehend.”
Maura cracked her knuckles.
“Are you saying I can rough her up?”
She laughed.
