MATE hummed.
Then, a double helix appeared on the screen with a fingerprint.
The man stared and looked around like the paranoid nut he was.
Maura shook her head.
“Oh, boy. He’s going to lose it when he finds out MATE has his family’s information too.”
“I’ll blow it up,” he said, glaring at the screen.
“Marigold and Clover Thundercloud.”

Rogue had to grab the man’s gun and tuck it into the back of his pants for safekeeping.
Then, he warned him.
“Can you not? We need MATE.”
