“I did shoot that old bastard,” Tina agreed and shook her head in disbelief, but there was a smile on her lips. The tension in the air dissipated with every word and gesture. “You’ve no idea how long I’ve wished for him to die. He’s the most horrible person I’ve ever met. Sadly, the only one coming even close to him is that darling husband of yours.”

Sienna grimaced and rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I sort of got that. Tell me, was Lyle the same as them?”

Tina bit her lip and thought for a moment, then shrugged. “He was, but I think he also had the most potential to be better. I suppose it wasn’t easy growing up in that family. They had a lot of rules and standards that needed to be met. That being said, I also need to mention that Lyle had his moments. Don’t get me wrong, he was far from perfect, and he did a lot of bad things to me included, but as long as I did what was expected of me, he was almost decent.”

“That still sounds like a horrible way to live,” Sienna commented, and Tina nodded in agreement.

“If you don’t mind me jumping in,” Jensen interrupted, and paused until their attention was on him. “Tina, you know the Remingtons the best, and right now we need all the information we can get on Kyle. Is there anything you can tell us that might help us catch him before he can do some serious and lasting damage?”

Tina’s brows furrowed in concentration, and she scratched her chin. She tilted her head to the side as she pondered on Jensen’s question, taking it seriously.

“Like I said, after the old bastard, Kyle’s the worst one in that family. Even if Lyle wasn’t dead, as the older twin, it would fall on Kyle to take over the reins of the family,” Tina said at last, her voice serious. “After Sienna sided with the Carringtons, he got obsessed with her. There were rumors going around about him bringing in whores, dressing them up and having them pretend to be Sienna. Their outcomes were never mentioned, so feel free to use your wildest imagination.”

Sienna swallowed the knot forming in her throat. Her heart sped up as the anxiety built in her chest. She was married to a fucking psycho.

“We’ll take care of him before he comes anywhere near you,” Jensen told Sienna, noticing her discomfort.

She gave him a weak smile. “I didn’t come here to talk about Kyle. You can discuss him later, but I’d rather not be present because the guy already gives me enough nightmares.”

“How about we get to the point of this meeting and talk business?” Samson asked, helpfully changing the topic.

Sienna shot him a grateful smile, then turned her attention to Tina. “He’s right. As I said to you that day, Dalia was your biological aunt and I’m pretty sure if she had more time, she’d take care of your situation.”

“I only saw her from afar, but never really got a chance to talk to her. I wish I had. I wish I’d known,” Tina said sadly.

“She was a cunning old woman,” Sienna said with a fondness in her voice. “I only spent a couple of hours with her, so I think that Samson is the best to talk to if you want to know more.”

Sienna and Tina glanced at the young lawyer, who smiled and nodded.

“The fact is,” Sienna continued, “That Dalia left me the Aghayan fortune, and now I want to give you half of it. I want us to be equal partners and run the company together.”

“Sienna,” Tina breathed and covered her mouth, but the surprise was clear in her wide eyes. “Are you sure? I mean, you don’t need to. No one can force you to do it.”

“I know, but I want to,” Sienna said with a firm voice. “Samson has all the papers ready and all he needs are our signatures.”

Tina’s eyes darted from Sienna to Samson and then back at her. “Thank you,” she told her and threw her arms around Sienna, pulling her into another hug.

“Perfect,” Sienna said happily and clapped her hands. “I also need to ask you for a favor.”

Tina’s eyes narrowed suspiciously, but Sienna waved her hand in dismissal.

“Nothing bad, I promise,” she assured her new partner. “For obvious reasons, I can’t leave the house much, but someone needs to run the business. I propose that you take over and whenever you need two sets of signatures, I’ll drop by. What do you say?”

“It’s as if I’ve woken up from a nightmare,” Tina said with a smile. “I don’t deserve this. You’ve already done so much for me in the past without expecting anything in return.”

“Well, I did ask you for that one thing on my wedding day,” Sienna joked.

“It was a small price to pay for a life of freedom,” Tina told her, then turned to Samson. “I’ll sign anything you need.”

They spent the next hour going through the papers with Samson explaining the Aghayan business. At some point, Jensen and Jaxon were asked to leave the room so they were able to discuss some things in detail. Before the meeting took place, Sienna had asked Samson not to tell Tina about their collection of secrets. It was something Sienna wanted to keep hidden and for herself. The more people knew about it, the bigger the danger of exposure.

After all was set and done, Sienna and the two Carrington heirs got suited up in their bulletproof vests and were on their way back home. They were rushing, curious about Aiden’s message to Jensen. He had an update about their allies and Kyle’s activities.

The whole ride home, Sienna had kept her fingers crossed, hoping for a breakthrough.
