“Wouldn’t dream of it,stellina,” I crooned, and then I pressed my face into her sex, lapping at her clit. As she mewled, I slipped two fingers inside her, pumping them gently, slowly.

“Youareteasing,” she huffed.

I looked up at her and she was pouting. I grinned. “Just a little,” I said. “You just taste so good.” I latched my lips around her clit, sucking gently, and Allegra started to clench around my fingers, whining out my name.

“I’m gonna come,” she moaned, and I sucked harder, loving the musky taste of her beneath my tongue. I felt her pulse around my fingers and pushed them deeper, hooking upwards just the way I knew she liked. Allegra groaned and then clamped her hand over her mouth, probably not wanting Matteo to hear, since he was in the room next door.

I grunted, aching, needing some kind of relief, and I licked my lips, tasting her juices, only making me hotter. I sat up and stroked myself, so excited that I knew it wouldn’t take long, but I couldn’t help myself. Allegra was so sexy I couldn’t contain myself, especially when I made her come. I slid into her easily because she was slick and ready for me, and rolled my hips, trying to be slow but being unable to hold back.

“Faster, harder,” she gasped, and I growled and let go, fucking her so hard that the headboard banged against the wall. I grabbed hold of it with one hand, continuing to thrust, and Allegra’s mouth opened wide, her eyes rolling back in her head. She contracted around me so hard it made my vision blur, and I came inside her just a few thrusts later, panting.

I slowly pulled out of her and she whined, clutching at me. “I’m not going anywhere, stellina,” I promised.

Allegra snuggled up next to me and put her head on my chest. “I don’t want you to go anywhere,” she said quietly. “I don’t want you to leave me ever again.”

“I won’t,” I promised easily. “I would never leave you again, stellina. You or Matteo.” I was going to ask her if that meant yes, if we were going to be together again, but she was already snoring softly. I fell asleep quickly with her in my arms.

The next morning,I woke up to an empty bed and I frowned, my head pounding as I reached out for Allegra when she wasn’t there. There was a note on my pillow.

Please watch out for Matteo.I’ll be gone a couple of days.

I bolted uprightin the bed and my head hurt even worse. Where had she gone? What was she doing? I immediately grabbed my phone but then cursed, remembering I didn’t have the number.

I buckled my pants and went out into the hallway, stumbling slightly from my hangover. I met Romeo at his bedroom door. “Allegra’s gone,” I said quickly.

“I know,” he said calmly.

My eyebrows raised. “What do you mean, you know?”

“She came to me last night. Told me she needed to take a couple of days to think about everything.”

“But Romeo—” I started, but he cut me off with a shake of his head.

“You have to give her space, Rocco. She needs to think this through. You wouldn’t want her to agree and then go back on it, would you?”

I sighed, running my hands through my hair. “I guess not. I just wish I’d left instead of her.”

He clapped me on the shoulder. “She’ll be back,” he said. “And in the meantime, you can spend some time with Matteo.” I nodded, agreeing, but I was worried out of my mind. There was no one to protect her. As if reading my mind, Romeo spoke up. “I sent a couple of guys I trust with her,” he said.

“Thank you,” I said.

Romeo smiled. “Wouldn’t let my little girl run off without protection,” he said.

I went back to my room after we chatted for a while longer, getting into the shower and thinking about Allegra. The hot water cascaded over my body, soothing my aching muscles. I couldn’t shake the worry and guilt rushing over me. I wished I had handled things better, that I hadn’t come on so strong. I felt like I’d scared her off. All I could do was wait and hope that her feelings for me hadn’t faded.

After finishing in the shower and dressing, I made my way downstairs to find Matteo already awake, playing a video game in the living room. He gave me a bright smile which momentarily lifted my spirits. “Hey, buddy,” I greeted him with a smile.

Matteo looked up at me with his green eyes, his expression mirroring mine. “Mama went away for a while,” he said softly.

I crouched down to him, trying to hide my own worry. “She’ll be back, Matteo. She just needs some time to think.”

“She’ll come back?” he asked, his face scrunched with worry. “It won’t be like last time, when she was gone so long?”

I shook my head, knowing that Allegra wouldn’t do that to Matteo. “We just have to take care of each other until she gets back.” Matteo nodded, offering me a small smile that made my heart ache.
