“Eres la única persona en la que confío completamente. Puedes hacerlo.”You’retheonlypersonItrustcompletely.Youcandothis.

“Puta di madre,” I mutter. I’m not even supposed to ride. There’s no way in hell the club will accept me as their leader, even temporarily. “I think the morphine is clouding your brain.”

Liam sits up with a grunt from the effort. He looks me straight in the eye. “No, I fucking mean it.”

“Ci,” I agree, seeing how serious he is. I don’t know how I’ll manage it, if it’s at all possible, but I’ll try. There’s nothing I won’t do for Liam.

“Gracias, mi hermana.”

“You know I could just step outside,” Caine interrupts.

“And in front of a moving vehicle like a semi-truck?” Liam suggests.

“Don’t. What happened last night?” I ask.

“I have no fucking clue. We were riding. Next thing I know, shots were fired and I think I heard Russian? Honestly, I hit my head. It was probably your husband to be. Pendejo.”

“You must have hit your head pretty fucking hard because I don’t speak Russian, pendejo,” Caine says putting emphasis on the word ‘motherfucker’. “And I spent last night in pound town with your sister.”

“Caine,” I cry.

“You’re sleeping with him?” Liam rages. His eyes are so big they’re liable to bug out of his head.

I blush.

“Not the first time,” Caine says.

I punch his arm before smiling sweetly at Liam. “Do you need anything from the house?” I ask my brother.

“Some fucking pants.”

“I’ll bring some clothes by.”

“Muchas gracias.”

“De nada.”

I squeeze Liam’s hand, knowing if I’m going to get the Dullahans in line, I’ll have to do it before I lose my nerve.

“We’ll let you rest. I’ll be back later.”

“Leave the pendejo at home.”

I grab Caine’s arm and drag him from the hospital room by force before he can do something else stupid like tell Liam I’m into kink.

“Easy now, lass. You’re liable to break my arm.”

“You told my injured brother we’re having sex!”

Caine stops walking and yanks me to a stop with him. Stupid Caine. Why does he have to be a giant?

“He’s an outlaw. Won’t be the last time he’s in here,” Caine says, like it’s no big deal.

“I’ll let it go on one condition.”

He leans in, a smirk playing on his lips. “Oh? And what might that be?”

“I need to go to the clubhouse this afternoon and I can’t have you or your men along.”
