“Deal.” Annoyed, he still agreed to my terms.

Chance’s Mercedes-Benz AMG came to a roaring stop in my parking space. As always, he strode around to the passenger side, opening the door for me, then took my bag from the back seat. Dragon got out of the car in the next space, scanning the lot for any threat before offering Chance his nod of approval.

Draping his arm around my shoulders, he stopped before we got to the door. “You okay with this?”

Nodding, I grinned. “Are you?”

He replied by taking a step toward the building, and like always, I was sure all eyes would be on him. He was wearing black leather pants, a black shirt with a leopard print jacket and black and white high tops.

“Wait.” He stopped just as the bouncer got ready to open the door, pulling me into his body. Lips pressed to mine, he kissed me aggressively, then pulled away, sliding on a pair of matching leopard print sunglasses. He ran his fingers through his messy styled hair. “Now, I’m ready.”

As we stepped into the lobby, there were a few staff lurking around. He kissed me again while handing me my bag. Just as he pulled away, Ian approached.

“What the hell are you wearing?” His eyes widened at Chance.

Shrugging, he offered a lazy smile. “It’s okay to be jealous, bro.”

“Never in my life will I be jealous of anyone who wears leather pants and leopard print sunglasses inside at night.”

Before Chance could respond with a snarky comment, I laid my hand on his bicep. “Can I speak to Ian alone?”

He nodded. “See you in a bit.” He winked before turning his attention to Ian. “I’ll be upstairs.”

Ian acknowledged him with a single nod before jerking his head the other way. “Follow me.”

Leading me down the long hallway, he stopped outside one of the conference rooms, turning to Ice Man.

“You can wait out here. It’s fine.”

Ice Man stepped to the side of the doorway, posting himself just outside.

Ian let me in first before closing the door behind us. He perched on the long, black oval table in the middle of the room. Pulling a cigarette from his pocket, he lit it before checking his watch. “You have five minutes.”

“Okay.” I sighed. “I wanted to speak to you alone, because I’ve been feeling uncomfortable about Alejandro.”

Cocking his head, he creased his forehead as he smoked. “Okay?”

I lifted my hands, correcting myself. “Not about working on the project with him. I only mean dancing for him. He gets really handsy with me.”

Furrowing his brow, he pulled longer drags of his smoke as I continued.

“While I was in the Blue Lounge, he pressed himself against me.” Risking upsetting him, I took a deep breath. “He’s just in my personal space a lot and I’m not comfortable.”

“I’ll handle it. Continue.”

“What do you mean?”

“I know there is more you want to say.” The smoke drifted slowly from the corner of his lips before he exhaled through his nose.

“There isn’t more,” I rolled my eyes, “yet.”

“Okay.” He gestured toward the door. I turned to exit.

“Wait a sec.”

I spun to face him. “Yeah?”
