We could have headed back to the bedroom and the bed we built to christen it. And if it collapsed under the force of our unbridled passion, so be it.

As I leaned back, I imagined her riding me hard, bouncing up and down with her dark hair loose and wild in the process, her eyes closed and her mouth moaning that same sound that I’d just heard coming (so to speak) from her apartment.

I grabbed onto my dick tightly, pulsing my grip with each imaginary thrust filling my mind’s eye. The pure carnal energy flowing through me pushed me to tighten my clench even harder.

“Oh, come on, fuck me harder,” I moaned from behind gritted teeth. Sure, I could have held back, but it was my first time in forever with some space to myself, and I was going to let myself make some noise. I’d be careful not to scream like she did, but with the way thinking about her made me lose control, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep quiet.

Fuck it, if I screamed, I screamed. After all I’d been through over the past two years, I deserved it.

Imagining what her tits must have looked like was driving me crazy. I had half a mind to go next door and pound on the door to try to finish what we’d started. I’d be gentle with her.

If that was what she wanted, anyway.

And, if holding onto her virginity was so important to her, I wouldn’t object to some alternative play. We could go down on each other. I’d be more than happy to eat her out all through the night. Then she’d suck me off with those beautiful lips of hers. They felt amazing against my mouth, I couldn’t even begin to imagine how great they’d feel around my shaft.

But that wouldn’t stop me from trying.

With all the focus in the world, I closed my eyes and pictured her taking my cock into her mouth. It was unbelievably hot, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer. Nor did I want to. I allowed myself the release and felt my body pulsate with the orgasm as I let out all the stress and anxieties from the past few days, leaving nothing behind other than a sense of satisfied exhaustion. I lay there for a moment, appreciating the feeling and catching my breath.

I was absolutely fucking exhausted and I could have fallen asleep right there, but I had to clean up. After a moment or so, I got up to take care of it, and as I did, I thought to myself that it was good to have gotten that out of my system. Now that I’d had the fantasy, I wouldn’t be tempted to go after Mila anymore.

The funny thing is, at the time, I actually believed it.

CHAPTER9

***MILA***

The night before was strange, to say the least. Strange in a good way, though. It was also strange in a strange way. It’s not every night that you get to have a fantasy come true right before your eyes. As I woke up, I wasn’t even sure it was real. And then I was horrified by the idea that I ran away from that fantasy as it was happening in real time, only to go back to my room and imagine the ending.

I couldn’t make sense of it even as I was doing it, but it felt wrong. Sometimes when something seems too good, it frightens me because I can’t believe that there isn’t a catch.

At any rate, the sun rose the next morning, and I awoke before my alarm. I got ready for work and was walking out of my apartment, locking the door behind me, when I heard whimpering. And the whimpering soon turned to scratching.

It was Bagel.

I walked over to Kiefer’s apartment (Okay, I guess it was Dr. Maxwell’s now… was I supposed to still call him that? Or once someone almost shoves their tongue down your throat, do you get to be on a first name basis?) and knelt down.

“Shh,” I said. “Bagel, it’s okay.”

The scratching and whimpering stopped for a second, but then they immediately returned.

Nobody was in the hall, so I looked underneath the door to see what I could see, but the seal was too tight.

If I left, Bagel would just keep with the crying and the scratching and might even do damage to the apartment. And then Leo would get in trouble, and so would Kiefer.

He probably wasn’t home, but just to be sure, I rang the bell and knocked a few times. No response.

I had the option to work from home. It was a privilege that I could use so long as I never “took advantage of it,” whatever that meant, but it had been months since I’d stayed home, so I was more than overdue. And I had a key for Kiefer’s apartment in case of emergencies.

This wasn’t an emergency, per se, but I couldn’t imagine Leo being upset if I kept his dog company and prevented him from getting evicted.

“One second, Bagel,” I said. “I’ll be right back.”

I ran back into my apartment and pulled the key out of the drawer in my kitchen, then returned to Leo’s apartment. As soon as I opened the door, Bagel jumped up on me. I got down on the floor with her and gave her belly rubs, and soon she was the happiest dog on the planet.

“I guess we’re coworkers today,” I said. “Come on.”

I grabbed her leash and attached it to her collar. There was no use in getting her in the full harness just to walk her next door. I let her in and kept an eye on her for a bit as she sniffed around the unfamiliar location. I was a bit on edge — wasn’t it common for dogs to mark their territory in new places? But after a few minutes of her just wandering with no piddling, I just let her be. She wasn’t exactly a puppy. She’d be fine.
