“I had practice with your precious babies. It made having my own easier, honestly.”

“Well, I’m glad I could be of some assistance,” she grins.

“Assistance with what?” Nico asks, walking over to us holding my niece, Isabella– baby Luca’s twin sister.

“Felicity says helping with the twins made motherhood easier for her,” Mia answers.

“Ah. That makes sense,” he nods. Isabella attempts to squirm free from his arms to go to Mia. “Mama is holding brother. You have to wait your turn.”

Isabella doesn’t seem to like the answer one bit.

“Here, switch me kids since she doesn’t want me,” Nico grumps.

“She’s just a baby, Nico,” Mia laughs. “Don’t let it get to you.”

“Easy for you to say. She likes you,” he mutters, handing her Isabella and taking Luca.

Luca doesn’t seem to mind one bit. He smiles ear to ear as Nico blows raspberries on his cheeks. The kid erupts with laughter. Meanwhile, his sister fights Mia tooth and nail, trying to climb to me.

“See, she just wants everyone but the person who is holding her,” Mia rolls her eyes. “Isabella, Zia Felicity is busy with baby Gilliana. You have to wait your turn.”

“She’s too spoiled already,” Nico points at Isabella.

“She’s just a baby,” Mia and I say at the same time. We look at each other and laugh.

“There’s too much fun going on without me,” Basque chuckles, walking over to us. I look at the grill and find Gregg now manning it.

“Give up on burning our food?” I tease.

“I attempted. I should get some credit,” he smirks.

“More like burnt hundreds of dollars of food,” Nico corrects.

“I thought that’s how you liked your food, Boss.”

“Kiss my ass,” Nico laughs.

“Language,” Mia and I say in unison.

“Chiedo scusa,” he quickly says, grinning slightly. My apologies.

“Isabella, stop,” Mia sighs as Isabella fights her to go to Basque. “She just wants freedom.”

“She’s going to take after her damn–” Nico clears his throat. “She’s going to take after her lovely aunt.”

His words make all of us laugh.

“That’s not such a bad thing,” Basque says, taking Isabella from Mia and holding her. Surprisingly, she doesn’t try to fight him. She lays her head on his shoulder and plays with the collar of his shirt.

“Look at that,” Nico chuckles.

“Basque is great with kids,” I smile. “Kids love him.”

“Well, when I can’t get the kids to nap, we’re coming to visit Zio Basque,” Mia grins.

“I’m okay with that. Isn’t that right, Isabella?” he asks in a playful tone. She smiles at him briefly before going back to his shirt.

“My perfect husband,” I gush. Basque looks at me and smiles.
