Ivan and his men are on one boat, they agree to follow the chopper. He’s got more men on the main land following as close as they can up the coast. Hopefully they catch whoever is on it.

My focus is on Keira. On the yacht. It takes a few minutes for us to get there. When we do, I am the first one off the boat, and onto the yacht. “Keira!” I scream.

I search the deck I’m on, seeing no one. I move up to the next level. There is a body at the top of the stairs. I breath a sigh of relief when I notice it isn’t her. I call out again and again for her. Luca, and everyone else is on the lower decks doing the same. Finally I see movement ahead.

It’s her. It’s my Keira. She’s alive.

She’s is a bit more bruised and bloodied than I last saw her through the camera, but she is in one piece. There are three dead men around her, and she has a knife at the throat of another. It’s Ramirez.

I run to her and drop to my knees. Ramirez’s eyes are closed, but he’s breathing. There is a dribble of blood on his neck from the knife. My girl looks like she’s struggling to stay awake. I grip her face in my hands. “Keira.” I say it softer this time.

Her eyes flicker to mine and she smiles. “Tino.” She drops her gaze to Ramirez. “Got you an apology present.”

I laugh. Full belly, head thrown back laugh. Behind me the rest of the family rushes up the steps.

“Holy fuck. Is that…” It’s Massimo. He doesn’t finish his sentence. We all recognize him. And my girl got him.

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Keira

I WAKE UPto my leg chained to the bottom of the bed, and my wrist with a handcuff around it. I follow the other end to find Tino laying propped up on his elbow, watching me. My Tino. My love. “Is it over?” I ask. My throat is dry and hoarse. It hurts to talk but I need to know.

“Mostly.” He replies. “Our ranks are finally cleared. And an example was made out of those who betrayed the family. If there is anyone we missed, they won’t be staying in the city long. And there is no place they can run where I won’t find them.”

“Killian?”

“His cousin escaped. But the seat is his. His father has officially named him his successor and their council has accepted it. He’s going to have a fight on his hands. There are still those who may be loyal to his cousin working for him. And who knows when his cousin will reappear.”

“We’ll be there for him when he does. Right?”

“Yeah baby. We will.”

“So…can we take this off now?” I ask shaking the handcuff.

“No.” He replies. Then gently scoots me over so he can lay beside me. He falls asleep in moments. My poor guy.

I later learn I was out for nearly two days. He hadn’t slept the entire time. He nearly resorted to peeing in bottles so he didn’t leave my side. Thankfully Luca and their dad talked some sense into him.

Tino didn't let me leave the infirmary for a week after I woke up. Dr. Moro was a good sport even with me being a horrible patient. After a week though, I was done. So when Tino took us into the shower to wash us. Since I wasn’t allowed to do it myself. I dropped to my knees and gave him the best blow job of his life. Afterwards, he didn’t even bother to get either of us dressed before he stormed out of the bathroom. Honestly, I’m not even sure if he shut off the water. He paused momentarily by the bed to rip off the sheet and drape it over me. Mumbling something about how no one could see his wife.

As we climbed the stairs to the main floor I reminded him we weren’t married yet. He said we were. He had hacked the courthouse system and filed our paperwork. I slapped at his back while he laughed. “You can’t do that Tino. You’re supposed to ask me to marry you.”

“Nope.” He replied simply.

“Nope?”

“Nope. We're married.”

“And what if I wanted a real wedding? With a dress and flowers?” I argue back.

“Then, you’ll have it.” He said as he rounded the corner past the kitchen and towards the back stairs. “We can start planning after.”

“After what?”

“After I knock you up.”

“Val!” Hollers Livianna.
