“Agreed.” I say with a nod.

By now Bosco should have interrogated and tortured Santo. His men will have run the DNA I left behind on my glass from lunch to prove I am his daughter. Val, his tech guy will undoubtedly have already tracked Violet’s digital footprint to this hospital. With the Doctor on payroll I'm sure Bosco already called him to check into my mother's records and do a DNA swab for proof of her identity as well. Such an easy man to manipulate into doing exactly what I intended for him to do. How on earth had he held onto the city for this long?

The elevator dinged for my mother's floor. “Doctor is on route now. Just grabbed a file from the nurses’ station.” I love having Luna in my ear. It’s a better feeling than having eyes in the back of my head and twice as effective.

“Wow. I figured he would have been in the room already. Old man is losing his touch.” Luna laughs at my statement.

“I may have slowed him down a bit with the red light cams on the way.” She replies. I can hear her smile.

“Damn, you have all the fun.”

“Perks of being me girl, but I gave you the chance at an epic entrance. Freak the doc out. Let him know you know who he is.”

She has a good point. “Hey while you’re working...”

“You want to know how far behind daddy dearest is?”

“Yeah, I need to prep mom. She doesn't know I went to see him.”

“How long you need?”

I mull it over. “I don't know. Twenty to thirty minutes?”

“I'll make it forty-five. Daddy and Ricco are just getting in their cars now. I'm going to fuck with them a bit before they get to you. Give them a good scare you know.”

“You're going to play with the traffic lights again aren't you?” I ask though I already know the answer.

“I've got one or two other ideas too. Something I need to test run before my next adventure.”

Adventures. That’s what she called her targets. God I love her.

“Thank you Luna.”

“Anytime Elena.”

I end the call just before walking into my mother's room. The Doctor is by the bed with a nurse who is swabbing my mother’s cheek. I’m guessing for the DNA test.

“Sup Doctor Patty?”

He turns around to face me. His eyes roaming over my body. I wonder what daddy dearest told him about me. “Doctor Patty?” He asks.

“Yep as in Doctor Patrizio Moro. Born 1982. Graduated with honors from John Hopkins. Married to Valentina since 2014. Two kids and another one in the oven. Congratulations by the way.”

“Elena!” Whisper shouts my mother.

“What? You know I don’t trust anyone, of course I ran checks on everyone in the hospital.”

Doc smiles and pats my mother’s hands. “I’ll be back to check on you later.”

Before Doc gets out of the room. I stop him. “I'd watch room 418.”

“Why?” He asks.

“You'll see.”
