I’m half-expecting her to be puking into the toilet or drunkenly stuck inside her shirt.

I’mdefinitelynot expecting her to be fully naked, one leg propped up on the sink as she smothers her freshly-showered skin in lotion.

Oh, shit.

Before I can dart away and pretend I didn’t just creep on my painfully gorgeous roommate—again—our eyes lock in the mirror. Wherever it is I was going, I’m busted now. No use trying to pretend I didn’t see her.

Against the advice of my few surviving brain cells, my eyes slowly work their way down her body.

Karli just continues lotioning every inch of her bare skin, trailing her fingers from her beaded ankle bracelet all the way up to the apex of her thighs, like it’s nothing.

And me? I keep on staring.

She smiles that wicked smile and my groin heats with anticipation. My mouth waters when Karli adjusts her stance, spreading her legs just a little bit wider.

My cock instantly responds to the call, going rock hard at the sight of her bare pussy. I watch, stunned stupid, as she carefully and intentionally trails her hands up the inside of her thigh.

“A gentleman would walk away, Pretty Boy…” she says, stopping the movement of her hands, and knocking me out of my trance.

I open my mouth with every intention to say something meaningful. When no sound comes out, she smirks. She lowers her foot to the floor then she’s stalking toward me, her beautiful heavy breasts bouncing with each step.

My tempting roommate stops right in front of me. Too close and not close enough, all at the same damn time. “The question is, are you a gentleman, Mason?”

“Karli…” I clear my throat. “I…”

She laughs darkly. “That’s what I thought.”

I shake my head, struggling to remember right from wrong. But it looks likelogicandcommon sensehave made an emergency exit. My primitive brain is running the show now.

Felix: wrong.

Karli: right.

No. Dammit, that’s not it.

Karli: wrong.

Integrity and self-preservation: right.

Someone throw me a life vest. I’m fighting for my life over here.

“If you’re trying to drive me crazy, you’re succeeding,” I tell her, my voice low, my fingers clenched into fists at my sides. So that I don’t grab her and haul her against me like I want to.

“Am I?” Her tongue swipes teasingly across her lips.

“I told you—we’re not crossing the line in the sand again,” I argue, still struggling to get my head screwed on straight.

“Ugh,” she drags out dramatically, rolling her eyes. “Here we go. That fucking line in the sand. Are we gonna have to have another one of our little ‘team meetings’ tonight?”

My brows pull together. “Team meetings?”

She plants a hand on her waist, jutting out her hip to emphasize her goddess curves. “Yeah. Those pointless little chats where we talk about how we’re never, ever going to cross the line again.”

A shaky exhale escapes Karli’s lips as she boldly drapes her arms around my neck.

“Admit it, we’re going to cross the fucking line again.” There’s a beat of silence as she meets my stare. “Fuck that line in the sand, Mason…Fuckme.”

Dammit! This woman is going to be the bitter end of me. But at least it’d be a happy ending, that’s for sure.
