“I’m serious. Stay here and I’ll get us something.”

Sitting up, she tucked the blankets around her and pulled his t-shirt over her head, crossing her legs easily, and waited. This was about the most beautiful evening she’d had in her entire life.

Eric was so loving, so gentle, and so caring. He spoke to her, asked her what she liked, and encouraged her to tell him what felt good. It was like he was completely centered on her enjoying their time together… and that was heady.

The idea that he was putting her first, completely focused, and wanting to learn about her wants and needs… it was truly beautiful and overwhelming. She cried from sheer relief and joy as he held her during those moments where they were one, whispering how much he loved her.

As he walked into the room, holding the two untouched dinner plates from earlier, his smile was breathtaking.

“I nuked them,” he grinned, handing her a plate that had a hot mitt on the bottom so that she didn’t scald her hand from the too-hot plate. “Do you want some water or a soda? I’ll be right back.”

“I can get it,” she chuckled, blushing at the attention that he was giving to her, treating her like she was special. “This is so sweet and nice of you.”

“Are you kidding?” he laughed softly. “I’ve finally got you where I want you, my shirt has never looked so good, and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that smile never comes off of your beautiful face. Seriously. You stay right there… and work on regaining some energy, because I forgot to show you a few other basics.”

“Oh yeah?” she chuckled as he winked at her.

“They’re important moves, so yeah,’ he grinned. “Another lesson will be needed, probably sooner rather than later. I mean, we’ve waited a while for this and… why aren’t you eating yet? C’mon!” he clapped softly, laughing. “I’m serious. Eat up!”

“Eric…” she giggled, adoring this playful side to him.

“Two cokes, ten minutes, and then back to work for us, missy…”

They ate dinner, laughed and talked together, before making love again, and Madison falling asleep in Eric’s arms, knowing deep down inside things would never be the same for either of them again – and welcomed it.

MADISON

What are you wearing?

Madison was in the classroom, and had just finished going over the introduction to division to the children, before passing out a worksheet for them to take home. The bell to finish the day would be going off soon, and she couldn’t wait to get home.

Smiling at his text message, she knew he was trying to flirt with her.

Oh you know, clothing covered in chalk dust…

You should come home and take that off

Right now.

I’ll help.

I’m a nice guy and would do that for you.

You would, huh? That is really sweet of you, but…

Did you misspell that?

Misspell what?

I think you left a T off of ‘but’. I’m a real pain in the butt.

… Oh mercy, you are terrible, Eric.

You love me.

Yes, I do.
