Bexley laughed silently at Alex’s outburst.
“I’m an independent Princess. I can get my girlfriend’s bags.”
That was the first time Alex had used the wordgirlfriendto describe Bexley to anyone outside of her family.
“Thank you,” Alex added to the guard.
When the door closed, Bexley emerged wearing only her bra and watched Alex place her bags in the living room.
“Hey, babe?” Bexley spoke.
“Yes, sweetheart?”
“Take me upstairs?”
Alex obliged, and minutes later, she was on top of Bexley, slowly bringing her to another orgasm while she ground against Bexley’s thigh. Alex came right after, and Bexley rolled them over.
“How long are you staying?” Alex asked. “Please say forever.”
“I can’t say that just yet, but I want to,” Bexley replied.
“I know.” Alex ran her hands up and down Bexley’s sides.
“Alex?”
“Yes?”
“I love you,” Bexley said.
Alex swallowed, and Bexley watched her expression turn from serious to almost nervous and then serious again.
“I love you,” Alex replied finally.
CHAPTER 39
“Isee Bexley’s making herself at home,” Larry noted, pushing some journals around on Alex’s coffee table.
“I had someone pick those up for her,” Alex said as she passed her brother a mug of tea. “She reads a lot, and these are the journals she prefers.”
“You’re happy, aren’t you?”
“I am,” Alex replied. “She’s upstairs, grading papers, and I can’t believe my luck.”
“It wasn’t luck, Alex. You waited for her. You waited for her from the moment you saw her and found out she had a girlfriend. Then, you went to Kleinland to spend time with her and told her how you felt. It’s not luck when you work for it like you did.”
“I suppose,” she replied. “So, what are you doing here? I have a girlfriend upstairs who should be done grading papers soon, if you know what I’m getting at.”
“I just wanted to give you the news first,” Larry said with a smile. “You’re going to be an aunt again.”
“I am?” she asked a lot louder than she’d intended.
“You are. We don’t know if we’re having a girl yet, obviously. We’ll be happy either way, but Margaret seems convinced that you’ll get that niece.”
“That’s amazing, Larry.” Alex pulled her brother in for a hug. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you,” he replied.
“Have you told Mum and Papa?”
