“I’m on my way to do that now. I was going to tell them at dinner, but he said you wanted to have dinner alone with him tonight.”

“Not exactly what I said. We’re having drinks before. Then, he, Mum, Bex, and I are going to have dinner.”

“Well, we’ll give them the good news at lunch then.”

“This is amazing, Larry. Do the boys know?”

“Not yet. Once she starts really showing, we’ll tell them.”

“Remember when you told Henry he was getting a little brother or sister? His face was priceless.”

“I remember when we brought Louis home. Henry wasn’t even old enough to hold him in his lap yet, but the look on his face when Margaret showed him Louis was definitely priceless.”

They sat there and laughed.

“What’s going on down here?” Bexley asked as she walked down the stairs.

“Can I tell her?”

“Of course.”

“Larry is going to be a father again,” Alex told her.

“Congratulations,” Bexley said as Larry stood for the embrace. “That’s great news.”

“Thank you. I agree. Now, I have to cut this party short and go tell my parents they’re about to be grandparents again, so I’ll leave you two alone.”

They said their goodbyes at the front door before Alex closed it behind her brother and picked Bexley up off the ground.

“I’m going to be an aunt again,” she said, spinning Bexley around as the woman laughed.

“I’m happy for you, babe, but if you ever expect me to be able to carry a baby, you might want to put me down so my organs remain in the right place.” Bexley continued to laugh even after Alex put her on the floor.

“Sorry, I’m just really happy.”

“Don’t apologize,” Bexley told her, kissing her lips. “And I’m hoping this good mood you’re in will work in my favor.”

“Are you done grading papers? I can definitely arrange favors.” Alex wiggled her eyebrows.

Bexley laughed again and said, “I need to leave for a bit.”

“What? Why?”

“I’m meeting someone.”

“Someone in London? You don’t know anyone in London.”

“Actually, I do. Dr.Trask, whom I met at the Cologne conference, has been working in London for the past fourteen years. We’ve kept in touch a little over the years.”

“And Dr. Trask is…”

“Dr.Trask is a man.” Bexley laughed and rubbed Alex’s chest through her shirt. “Are you not wearing a bra again? Your brother was here, Alex.”

“It’s a black T-shirt,” Alex replied. “And I didn’t put one on after our shower.”

“I love it when you don’t wear a bra,” Bexley admitted. “I can just touch you and…” She moved her hands under Alex’s shirt and cupped her breasts.

“I love when you do that.”
