“I know it might be a bit soon, but—”
She interrupted him with a kiss. “This is my first marriage, Wilder. You said before that you would make up for lost time. You’ve done that. You’ve helped me rewrite my life story. Of course, I’ll marry you!”
He smiled broadly and slipped the ring onto her finger. It was a perfect fit. “You make me so happy, Amelia. And now, we have forever to look forward to.”
Amelia kissed her fiancé, her mate. He cupped her face in his hands and looked deeply into her eyes. “In all seriousness, if you want to wait to go through the wedding, I understand.”
She shook her head. “I want to get married right here. This fall. With all the Lupine and Wolverton packs here. Oh, and if you can get that chef to make eclairs for our wedding cake, that’d be cool.”
He leaned his head forward with a laugh. “Anything for you, love. Anything.”
Amelia didn’t have a crystal ball, but she knew this man was her happily ever after.
