“It’s been overwhelming. It seems like a dream. One day I was living my life, then I woke up in a cage wishing the two men that claimed me come to the rescue.” I look into her sympathetic eyes. “The things I saw in those woods, the things I had to do, will stay with me forever. I can’t believe I survived it.”

“You are a badass woman, that’s why,” Serenity says as she rounds the couch. She hands me a drink while the other joins us with theirs.

“I didn’t feel badass while doing it. I shut down.” I take a long drink.

“They say in extreme situations, the body goes on autopilot. The adrenaline gets going, and you do things you normally wouldn’t,” Penny says.

“You weren’t scared?” Marie asks.

“I was. I woke up in a cage. I had been dreaming some weird shit. I imagined River on his knees, howling.” I shudder.

“He did,” Serenity says, her eyes wide.

“What?” I ask.

“Ryker was there. He said Kerian had to pick him up. It happened as you dreamed,” she says.

“How is that possible?” I ask, confused.

“You are more connected to them than you think,” Harmony says with awe.

“But we aren’t bonded yet. They told me when we are, I will be able to feel what they feel, but not yet.”

“You will. I believe your feelings for each other are so strong that you felt his pain,” Harmony says in wonder.

“Did you tell them what you saw?” Penny asks.

“No, we barely got any sleep,” I say, blushing.

“Did you have sex with them?” Penny says, grinning.

“I have.” I hide my face with my drink. I don’t know why I’m so flustered talking about sex. I have always been open about it in the past.

“Both of them?” Harmony persists.

“Yes, but this morning, it was just River,” I admit.

“How was it? I bet it was amazing,” Serenity says, and the other girls nod.

“It was. They both are very dominant,” I confess, sighing like a lovesick fool.

“Uh-huh. I knew they would be.” Serenity nods.

“Does River snack in bed?” Harmony asks.

“No,” I answer, laughing.

“The man always has food in his hand. Do you know how he does that? Does he pack them in the morning? How does he just make them appear?” Harmony asks, frowning.

“I wondered that too,” Serenity says. “He just happens to have a sandwich in his hands; how?”

“Enough about food. I want to know the dirty things. How dirty are we talking?” Penny leans forward, tucking her beautiful long blonde hair behind her ear. “Is Kerian as fierce in the bedroom?” She looks at the girls, “He looks like he would be demanding.”

“I’m trying to ignore the fact that he’s my brother,” Harmony says, wrinkling her nose.

“I am not giving you a play-by-play of what they do or don’t do. I will say they are the best I have ever had, by far.” I finish my drink.

“I’ll get another round,” Serenity says. She picks up the empty glasses.
