– the nigga dicking you down tonight

I laidthe note against my chest as my cheeks peaked and all thirty-two of my professionally cleaned teeth showed.

“I can’t imagine what the note says. I doubt that I even want to know. But I do want to know what’s in these boxes. Especially the Bottega one.”

“Options for dinner,” I informed her.

“For the dinner we just spent three hours searching for something f—”

“Yes. That one.”

“Girl, what factory did he come from? I need to run by there really quick.”

“Be quiet, silly!”

“I’m just saying. This man heard you loud and clearly this time and he is not letting up.”

“He better not.”

“Let me go. I have some praying to do. God can send me my man at like any point. I’m like really ready, God. I hope You hear that. I’m ready!” She looked upward while shouting, causing me to double over in laughter.

“I’ll call you and show you the final fit.”

“Please do.”

I let Shayla out, happy to dig through the boxes and discover what was inside. There was no doubt about it, though. I was definitely wearing the ivory one. I had no clue what it was, but if Milo wanted me in it so that he could easily take it off, then I’d happily slip right into it.

“What you blushing for, Nay?”Milo asked with that sinister smirk on his face.

“Because what is this?” I asked, holding up the small, square box that Milo brought inside of the house with him, demanding I wait until we reached Saint.

“Something light, nothing too wild. You’ll open it soon enough.”

I admired his clear skin as he handled the wheel of the Aston Martin, weaving through traffic. His right hand rested on my thigh, which was playing peek-a-boo through the high split in the dress that Milo had chosen out of the two he’d purchased. The other, he swore, would be worn Sunday for our second date.

Admittedly, he was keeping me on my toes. We’d reached a point where I didn’t know what to expect from him or when. He was full of surprises. Waking up was a new adventure, each morning, never knowing what I’d embark on next. My jaws hurt from smiling so much, my stomach muscles were sore from laughing so hard, and my heart beat erratically from being loved so intentionally and so loudly.

“Then why’d you give it to me? Why not wait until we reach our destination?”

“Because I love the way your brows crinkle and your thoughts linger when waiting. Anxiousness is written all over your face. You can hardly sit still,” he snickered.

“Basically, you live to torture me.”

“Only in the best way, Nature. I mean no harm, baby.”

“Baby?”

I creamed at the sound of it. Each time it fell from his lips, I wanted to part my lower ones.

“Don’t play with me,” he demanded, slapping my thigh before caressing the spot he’d made sting.

“Ooch.”

“Want me to pull over and kiss it?”

“We’d never make it to the restaurant.”
