Chapter Eighteen

ELIAS

Isat in my office, grinning as I sipped on the bitter liquor in my glass, my mind reeling the images of my sated wife as I took her everywhere in our bedroom for the last few nights; the beginning of our eager efforts to create a family.

I could still hear the sweet moans that she cried out as each orgasm left her paralyzed. It was the greatest sight I had ever witnessed.

Liam and my brother knock at the door before greeting me and running to my bar.

We all needed a little lightness to make the night more bearable.

“Where’s the missus?” Silas said as he nursed a neat one.

“Upstairs with Elizabeth getting ready.”

“Elizabeth?” He said his eyebrow raising causing Liam’s to do the same.

They knew how protective I was of our sister. I tried my hardest not to let this world touch her but I underestimated her curiousity as she got older.

I ensured to order Troy to keep a close eye on her for the night. It was hard to hide her familial features and I knew that would make people interested.

As far as my wife went, I planned to make her the star of tonight’s event, so Alexsei knew who not to fuck with.

During my meeting with the Callahans, they informed me of their choice to invite the Banrovs again. They hoped that since Ilya was gone, a new era would take over for the criminal family.

I doubted it.

“Mia requested that she be there,” I simply said causing their eyebrows to raise higher, but I paid them no mind as I downed the last of the hot beverage and walked out of the office with both following closely behind me.

I timed it perfectly because shortly my wife was descending the stairs in a dress I wanted to rip off her; knowing what it hid left me always wanting to see her flawless, bare body.

The haute couture black gown hugged her curves and carried what looked like an art sculpture over her left shoulder. The dress supported her breasts causing them to bulge slightly and swayed with her hips following each step she took to me.

My wife looked regal -like royalty-, a sight that would make women jealous and leave men longing.

And she was allmine.

Holding my hand for her so she had no choice but to be in my arms when she reached the last of the steps, I told her, “You look…breathtaking.”

She looked at me, shyness behind those chocolate orbs, and whispered, “Thank you.”

I turn to my sister, who stood next to Mia as Silas held her hand, “You look beautiful as well, Elizabeth.”

“Thank you, Elias."

We then separated to the fleet of armored SUVs, each going to our designated vehicle, and drove to the Callahan’s home.

When we arrived, like I always did, I pulled the door for my wife, and we walked to the entrance where all eyes were trained on us.

And it didn’t stop as we entered the hall. I felt my wife squeeze my hand that was wrapped around her waist as the sea of people divided for us to pass.

“I am here,” I whispered against her hair which was not in its natural state but straightened and curled. She looked beautiful either way.

Subsequently, her hand relaxed and she was renewed with a confidence that I admired.

“Galdur,” Jericho, the head of the Callahan Family, greeted me.
