I really want that.

“Then it’s on you.” Aksel stomps out of the room.

Felix sits down, wrapping his arm around me again and smiling down at me.

“Looks like you’re coming, Kitten.”

I grin. “Thank you.”

He leans forward, pressing his nose against mine. “Anytime.”

I keep staring into his perfect hazel-green eyes, ignoring the world around me as I think.

Am I ready to accept this bond with Felix?

We haven’t even slept together. I’ve slept with Griffyn but not him.

Because Griffyn was safermy subconscious whispers.

He was safer. He only wanted me to feed and feel pleasure. Felix wants me for forever.

A commitment I wasn’t ready for. I think I am now.

He’s been patient and kind. Protecting me without smothering me. Defending me.

A quick glance tells me the others have left.

I lean forward to kiss him. Pressing my lips against his as I climb into his lap.

Now that I’ve decided, it can’t happen soon enough. I need to be near him. Consumed by him.

I grip the back of his head, pressing tighter against him. I grind down on his hard length making itself known against my core.

Felix growls against me. He palms my ass as he stands, lifting me with him.

He doesn’t break our kiss as he stalks to the stairs. When we reach the stairs I release his lips, moving to his neck so he can see.

I press open-mouth kisses against his skin, licking and biting every inch.

His hands tighten their grip.

The door slams against the wall as we enter his room. I reach out blindly, gripping the edge so I can shut it behind us.

Felix comes down on top of me as we land on the bed. His mouth attacks my neck, returning the attention I gave him. He uses more teeth.

My snow leopard shifter looks up at me and his eyes are glowing gold. His animal is looking back at me as he leans down and bites my lip, hard.

I arch against him, moaning, before reaching for his shirt. I tug it over his head before quickly removing mine.

“I want to feel your skin against mine,” I say.

I run my hands across his chest, feeling every bump and ridge. I look up to see his eyes staring down at me. I’m surrounded by his popcorn scent and feel so incredibly safe.

“I want to mate you, Felix,” I whisper.

His eyes widen. “Anna, what happened?”

“You defended me. You kept your promise and recognized my strength. I didn’t want a mate because I didn’t want to be trapped by someone I couldn’t trust. I don’t think you see it that way.”
