Page 91 of Deceived

Griffyn, Blaze, and I sit in silence until they get back. Rion looks much better when he comes downstairs. His blond hair looks silky where it’s tucked behind his ears. The stubble on his face has been trimmed, making his jaw look defined. His green eyes are bright as he stares at me.

This is just him with five minutes of cleanup. It’s a sharp reminder of how hot I found him when we met and how truly sexy he is.

“Alright, sit down and stay quiet. Let the weaver work and don’t answer any questions,” Aksel instructs.

He leaves the living room with me and goes to the kitchen with Felix. He must hate how recognizable his face is when it means he can’t be in control of a situation.

A second later there’s a knock at the door which Blaze gets up to answer.

A scruffy-looking man with overgrown hair and twitchy hands follows Blaze back in. I didn’t hear either of them speak on their way back here. His eyes jump between Griffyn and Blaze before landing on Rion.

“You have the spell in your brain. I’m here for you I assume. Why?” He asks.

“Questions are not part of the deal,” Blaze huffs.

Griffyn plays his role, rolling his eyes and laughing at Blaze. “Such a grump. We just realized it was on our friend. Must have happened at a bar with some crazy chick.”

The weaver ignores the words coming out of the incubus’ mouth, which is the point. He moves over to Rion, places his hands on either side of his head, and starts working.

I have to bite my tongue to stop from speaking up and outing us from the kitchen when Rion grimaces and tries to pull away.

“Deep roots,” the weaver mumbles.

Felix rests a hand on my arm when I wince. I hate watching Rion go through this.

When the weaver pulls away, Rion sags backward onto the couch. I jump up immediately to help him, but Felix tugs me to his side, keeping me hidden.

The weaver gets all jumpy again as Blaze pushes him toward the door.

“Don’t forget you have to…” The weaver’s voice trails off as they exit.

As soon as he’s gone I use my vampire speed to rush to Rion. I can see his chest rising and falling as he breathes, but his eyes are still closed. I run my hand through his hair until he slowly starts regaining consciousness and relief rushes through my system.

His eyes flutter open and he groans. I move right into his line of sight and give a tentative smile.

Rion blinks a few times, trying to focus. He seems disoriented and confused as he sits up slowly, rubbing the side of his head and looking around.

“Are you okay?” I ask, relieved to see him moving again.

Rion nods slowly. “What happened?” He asks with a groggy voice.

“The weaver removed the spell on you and it knocked you out.”

A bag of blood lands between us.

“Drink that, it’ll help. The weaver’s magic can take a lot out of you.” I’m surprised Blaze says it.

Rion nods gratefully, picking up the bag and draining it. Once again watching him drink makes me thirsty.

Griffyn comes up next to me and offers me his wrist. This time, I would be happy to drink from him. I sink my fangs in and swallow his delicious blood.

Griffyn moans, rubbing his cock against me. He leans down and whispers, “Your venom gets me so fucking hard.”

“Tell us about Killian,” Aksel demands, pulling me out of the moment with my incubus.

“Give him a freaking second! He was just unconscious after having a mage rummaging around in his head,” I say.

“We need to know if it worked.”
