Olivia raises her eyebrows and nods.

"Okay, I accept it. Now, let's get off the floor and go to the kitchen so I can make you something. I doubt you ate anything. Am I right?"

I nod my head sheepishly as Olivia sighs.

"Let's go," she says as she climbs off my lap and walks to the door. I follow after her.

"By the way, how did dress shopping go?"

Olivia looks excited as she rambles on about the beautiful dresses at the three shops she visited. She mentions that after thinking a lot she settled for one she found perfect. Her excitement makes me smile and gets me excited too.

"Well, too bad you won't see it till I walk down the aisle."

"What! No way. Olivia!"

Olivia giggles as she refuses to answer and continues cooking.

Since that day, we get busy with wedding preparations once again. Whether it's flower arrangement, color scheme, or seating arrangements, I let Olivia's artistic abilities take over and hand her full control of preparing her dream wedding. Many adults in the family mention that as the groom, I should have the ability to arrange for my wedding too. It pisses me off when they imply something about Olivia, yet my cousins take the responsibility of calming me down and dealing with the family.

I’m unable to explain my ideas nor do I have any clue what is artistically pleasing, yet Olivia always takes my suggestions seriously and applies my random idea to make something beautiful. When we see a rough plan of our wedding come together, it makes me feel amazing to see parts of Olivia and me engrained into every element such as the ivory and red roses in her bouquet.

There are a few moments during dress rehearsals, aisle practice, or other things when Olivia and I text or whisper our word "grapefruit" to alert the other that we are getting overwhelmed. Most of the time, we make sure to ask for a break and talk to each other. If it all gets too much, our friends help us slip away for a few minutes of tight hugs, reassuring whispers, and gentle kisses.

Looking at Olivia, I can't wait to marry her.

Myheartfluttersagainstmy chest as I peek through the one-sided glass to see the guests settling down in their respective seats. The fabric of my dress moves as my mother and bridesmaids set the train and the trail of my veil. The ivory, mermaid-style dress hugs my body perfectly, and the embroidered floral designs make me feel like royalty.

"Mom? I can do this, right?"

My mother stop fretting over my dress and instead place a hand on my shoulder.

"I know you can. Remember, it's a little walk and a speech till you are married. Then all that's left is to do is dance."

My mother steps before me and holds onto my shoulders, her eyes red and shiny with tears.

"I’m so proud of you."

I whisper a thank you as I lean in to hug her.

"Now, don't cry, or you'll ruin your makeup. Look."

She points at the window as the piano starts playing a tune, and the groomsmen walk to the stage, followed by the groom. Even without his parents, Ethan is smiling as his best men surround him and hype his walk. Aiden has his arm around him, walking him down the aisle.

"It's time."

I turned to smile at my dad, holding back his tears as he holds out an arm for me to take.

"I held your hands when you took your first steps, and now I'll take them again, so I can walk you down. But no matter how many times I need to hold your hands, you'll still be my baby girl."

I sniff and will my tears away.

"Dad, stop. You're going to make me cry," I wail as I take my father's hand.
