"Thank you. I decided it looks elegant with this blouse."

I look up to see Ethan approaching me. He still has his sweatpants on. He takes my hand and holds it up, twirling me.

I giggle at the impromptu dance as Ethan pulls me in and rests his hand on my waist as we waltz around the kitchen island.

"Ethan," I cry out, laughing. "You're making me dizzy."

Ethan stops but doesn't remove his hands from me. He shrugs nonchalantly.

"It's not my fault you look like a queen. I think I deserve to give the queen her first dance."

His voice drops low, and my eyes burn hot. I can't help but lean a bit closer.

"Is that so?"

Ethan steps even closer.

"Of course."

His gaze drift to different points of my face. My eyes, cheeks, lips, then back up. I grow warmer each second, and a thought comes crashing into me. Shouldn't I be wary of him? He is my brother's friend too.

Realization washes cold water down my spine, and I smile before gently pushing Ethan away.

"Ethan? Don't you have to practice this morning?"

Ethan's eyes grow wide as he realizes he might be late.

"Oh, shit!"

He tears himself away from me, but not before placing a soft kiss on my knuckles.

"Thank you, Olivia. I would have forgotten all about it if it wasn't for you," he says before he slips into his room to change.

The burn in my cheeks almost makes me dizzy. I need to put some space between us to think. I call out to Ethan that I am leaving, grab my things and close the door after me. Maybe I can clear my head on the drive to the office. My hopes crash when Ethan reaches me in record time and stops me from getting into my car.

"Damn his athletic long legs and stamina," I mutter under my breath.

"Here, I'll drive you. I think we get off around the same time, so I'll pick you up as well."

I try to refuse, but Ethan looks so excited about the idea that I don't have the heart to say no. Who knew I would be drowning under the attention of a famous basketball player?

The drive is peaceful and in comfortable silence. Ethan must have picked up on my desire to remain quiet due to my reserved nature. Finally, we reach the entrance of my gallery.

"Wow, this looks amazing. Maybe I can drop by sometime to visit properly?"

Ethan looks almost shy while asking the question, and I can't help but smile.

"Of course. I have to leave now. Thank you for the ride, Ethan. Goodbye."

"Bye."

I watch as Ethan drives off before stepping into the building. Sarah looks at me with shock, but I hold up a finger.

"No questions till I've completed a portion of my work. I would like some normalcy, please."

"Yes, ma'am."
