Despite the weirdly long day and not eating, I feel pretty good.

My mate is home safe, the threat is gone and I’m about to get cleaned up and eat a home cooked meal. Doesn’t get much better than that. I mean, besides everything I’m thinking about for the do-over day tomorrow, but that can wait. Right now I’m just happy we’re all home.

Chapter sixty-two

Parker

Makingdinnerhelpsmeto feel a little calmer and more normal after the crazy intense day, and the smell of the food makes me realize how hungry I actually am. After a quick inspection of the fridge and thinking about how much time everything will take to cook, I go with burgers.

They’re fairly easy and fast, and I let the fries cook in the air fryer while I chop some salad to go with everything. I’ll need to look up some healthier recipes. Sean and Dante just love everything to be meaty, but I want Amanda to be getting the right foods for her, and the babies.

Yeah, I know already that she’s having more than one.

The weird intuitions I get are telling me that.

They’ve never been wrong.

I just wish they were a little more predictable. It would have helped to know Jake was going to try and steal our mate back. We could have been more prepared.

Everything turned out okay, so I try not to let my thoughts dwell on it.

I make the food while everyone else showers and puts on something comfy.

Amanda’s wearing one of my T-shirts, and she looks especially cute in it tonight.

Dante’s in his boxer shorts, sitting across the table from her because it’s dinner time and it seems to be a subconscious thing for him to only steal my seat at lunch.

Sean comes into the room with wet hair and his boxer briefs.

“Are we anywhere close to ready?” Dante asks, grabbing a chip out of the bowl I put on the table before I started cooking.

“Ten minutes at most,” I tell him, winking at Amanda when her face flushes.

Thank Apollo it didn’t take more than ten minutes for my cock to unknot.

These two are in for a surprise when they’re with her next.

“Ten minutes is way too long,” Dante complains, taking a bundle of chips and crunching loudly.

Sean shakes his head at our Omega. Amanda smiles at him.

Everyone’s a little quiet once the food is ready and we start to eat.

No one leaves any crumbs laying around, and everyone’s up for ice-cream after.

“Sean’s bed again?” Amanda asks when we’re done.

“Sounds good,” Sean says.

“Only if he turns off that annoying alarm. Tomorrow’s Saturday, you maniac,” Dante tells him.

“I’ll turn it off.”

“I’m going to grab a shower,” I tell them, deciding to do that in my bathroom so I don’t disturb them if anyone needs to pass straight out.

“I’ll do the dishes,” Dante says.

I draw him a look. “You’ll do them in the morning. I’m not having a cold shower because you think it’s funny, or whatever.”
