“Does it matter?” Her voice was at least an octave higher, and her breaths were coming out in puffs.

Goddammit. “You are really testing my patience right now.”

“You make a lot of threats.”

Threats? Did she not know that if I forced the issue, I would’ve already had her on the bed, on her knees, ass up, begging me to fuck her? My hands traveled under her plump breasts, cupping them roughly. “We’ll see how funny it is when I make you come only from touching your tits.”

Of all things, she arched her back at my touch. “I doubt it.”

I strummed her nipples with my thumbs, back and forth, and she moaned as she started grinding against my cock.I doubt it, my ass. She was getting off on this. Unfortunately, I was, too. I bent my head, looking down between us, and started pulling down her top. “I need to see these.”

“No one’s stopping you.”

That mouth of hers. A hundred scenarios popped into my head about what I could do to silence it. I drew down the material…

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

The sound of footsteps in the hall drew closer. And the door was open. Jesus, I’d lost my head and realized the gravity of what I was doing. What we were about to do. I released her grip, dropping her to her feet, and she looked like she was about to protest and moaned, “Wait.”

I shook my head and adjusted her top. I could’ve mentioned how she was so caught up with me that she didn’t hear someone coming, but I didn’t have time to make the point.

Inwardly cursing myself for being an idiot, I got myself in check. I stepped back, leaving space between us, and glanced over my shoulder at the open door where Roman now stood with arms crossed, studying the scene with an enigmatic look on his face.

Sorina

My body throbbed. My breathing was unsteady. My thoughts were a jumbled mess. I felt like a wet noodle about to twizzle to the floor while Dmitri stood as unaffected as a stone wall. His jaw set in grim determination as he directed an indifferent gaze at his friend. “Did you need something?”

“No. Making sure our guest was unharmed.” Roman looked between us impassively, but I could only pick up on his suspicions. A flush of embarrassment crawled up my chest to my neck.

“She’s fine.” Dmitri spread his hands wide, keeping his deadeye stare intact on his friend.

“She looks a little flustered to me.” Roman raised a brow, and some sort of silent communication passed between them. Why were they talking about me as if I weren’t standing here?

Dmitri scratched his chin, and his stare never wavered. “Probably because she’s had too much sun.”

“Is that what it is?”

“It is,” Dmitri answered in finality, leaving nothing up for debate. “She should probably go home and rest so she can recover.”

His suggestion was ludicrous. His arrogance was showing in full force. I wasn’t going to be manipulated by him.

“Recover from what?” Theo popped in, standing beside Roman.

“Too much sun,” Roman offered, and pointed at me. It was clear he was enjoying the show.

This was too much. “I’m fine. I think he’s had too much sun because he’s delusional.”

Roman’s lips twitched. “Now,thatI believe.”

Theo glanced around and shook her head. “Come on, Sorina. Kenzie and I are going to play pool.”

“I’ve always wanted to learn. Sounds like fun.” I straightened my shoulders, not bothering to givehimmy attention, and started to follow her out, but before I got to the door, I was yanked to a halt. I peered up to see Dmitri growl, “Put this on. You’re not walking around here flashing your ass.” He had an XL shirt with his football number in his hand.

“I told you I have my cover-up outside.”
