God, I need to get a grip. A grip on a dick that’s not his.

I hurry and wash so I’m not tempted to do something crazy, like jack off in the shower, Tomas’s face in my mind.

No, I can’t do that. I nearly skid out of the shower and then act cool when I’m getting dressed, making sure to look somewhat presentable as I make my way back home. Not because I think that Tomas will be around, but because I just like the image I give people.

First impressions and all that.

I stop by the store and grab some food and then text Tomas, asking him if he wants to come by for dinner. I’d love to do a nice exfoliation all over his body and then give him a facial. No, not that kind of facial. You filthy fucks.

As I’m unpacking the food, the dogs trying to eat the plastic bags, Tomas responds, stating that he’s going to his parents’ house. My heart sinks, and I almost let Wonton make off with a banana when he asks me to come with him.

I almost pee my pants in excitement, and the dogs, sensing my excitement, start to drool.

“Move away, mutts!” I shout. “No more…ugh.” I glance down and see that my shorts are riddled with hair and…oh Jesus. Is that snot and a piece of tissue?

I cannot.

“You better not make me unpresentable when I leave. If I have so much as a hair on me—”

Peanut woofs and then they all join in, bellowing loudly as I make my way to my room, trying to shut the door but not succeeding. They watch me with rapt attention, a long line of drool dripping from Wonton’s jowls as if in protest of my earlier comment.

“I swear to god. If I didn’t love the moms so much, I’d put you out to pasture.”

Nibblet woofs once, and I jump, my makeup clattering on the counter.

“Fine. I won’t do that, but Iamthreatening you,” I say and then smirk in the mirror as I put my lip gloss on. Not the kind that gave me puffer fish lips, but just a nice pink gloss. I’m not sure how much I should make myself up because I don’t know how Tomas’s family will respond, but I also don’t want to not be myself. So, I find a happy medium with lip gloss, eyeshadow, and styled hair. My clothes aren’t as flashy as they could be, but I do show up at Tomas’s place in skinny jeans and a sequined shirt.

“Hello there,” I say when he opens the front door, looking rugged and far too sexy. Perhaps that soap he uses in his hair isn’t a bad idea. It seems to be working wonders for him.

Tomas seems to be eyeing me as well. His gaze swivels down to my shirt and his lips twitch.

“I know. It’s fabulous,” I say and smile widely at him. “I got it half-price at a store in LA.”

“Yeah, well, it hurts my eyes to look at it.”

“Pfft. No, it doesn’t. It’s alluring.”

His smile matches my own. “Yeah, I know. It is pretty. The hummingbirds are going to think you’re a flower.”

“The highest compliment. I’d love to be a flower.”

He smiles at me softly and then nods toward his car. “You ready to go?”

I bob my head, nervously excited. “I am. I can’t wait to meet your mom and dad and…sisters? Brothers?”

“Three sisters and a brother.”

“Ah. A big family.” I waggle my fingers in front of me and Tomas lets out a small chuckle.

“Yeah, big and nosy. They’re gonna wonder who you are.”

“I’ll tell them that you’re my biggest fan….”

His cheeks flush and he glances away. Okay, perhaps that was too soon. He just saw my dong today. Probably I shouldn’t rush it.

“Sorry. I think I’m hilarious, but mostly, I’m just strange.”

“No,” he says, clearing his throat. “It’s—you’re not strange. You’re unique. Don’t stop being you.”
