Damon told him the areas he’d looked unsuccessfully for Trey.

“We need a plan, but I’m too exhausted to think of anything realistic.”

“I think our best bet is to gather everyone in the wedding party. We can come up with something together. Then we can confront him as a group. Even if it’s just us and the other groomsmen—”

“Emerson is missing.”

Damon’s voice caught in his throat. He cleared it. “Your brother ismissing?”

“You haven’t heard? Seems like everyone knew before me. Another reason I’d like to take care of Trey.”

“He’s picking off your side of the wedding party one by one.”

Grayson nodded, his expression pensive.

Hopefully Trey didn’t know that Damon was a stand-in groomsman. Unless that worked to their advantage. Damon could be bait, and they’d be ready for him. Catch him off guard. Then they could restrain him until the police arrived.

“What are you thinking?” Grayson asked.

“If Trey knows I’m in the wedding party now, I could be bait.”

“Bait? No way.”

“How else are we supposed to catch him?” Damon countered.

“Let’s find Javier then head back to my suite. We can come up with a plan there. Rita’s there with Ariana and Bella.”

“We should find the twins too. That way we have the entire wedding party together. The more minds, the better.”

Grayson nodded. “We better split up to cover more ground.”

“Sounds good. I’ll head toward where most of the rooms are.” That would also give him a minute to get into dry clothes.

“I’ll see who’s left in the ballroom, if anyone is at this point.”

Damon hurried to his room.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw Ariana there. “I thought you were with Rita.”

She pulled on a hoodie over a dry shirt. “I needed to change.”

“Same. Did you know Emerson is missing?”

“Yeah. He hasn’t been found yet?”

“Not that I know of.”

“I feel so bad for Rita and Grayson. This was supposed to be a perfect wedding weekend, and it’s turned out to be such a disaster.”

“Did anyone ever find her grandma?” he asked.

“I don’t think so.”

Damon rifled through his clothes for something comfortable. He thought he’d packed for everything, but he hadn’t planned on tracking down a killer. “At least we’re together again. Let’s see who we can find and meet up in the suite.”

He got dressed quickly, then they headed out again.

Ariana raced across the hall and a few doors down then knocked. After a few moments, one of the twins opened the door, rubbing her eyes. Then the other one appeared — Olivia, she had the nose ring.
