Oliver nodded. “You’re so welcome. I always enjoy hosting special parties here. I’m honored that you’d choose Hidden Cove to celebrate something so important. I hope the food and service were up to expectations.”

“Couldn’t have been better,” Theo said.

“Good. Don’t hesitate to come back if you’re ever back in Vegas.” He smiled and waved at the group. He tapped on the back of my chair a few times. “That goes for all of you. I hope you have a great time while you’re here.” With that, he waved again and hurried back into the kitchen.

I pushed my chair away from the table and dropped my napkin on my plate. “Good lord, that was good.”

Theo glanced over his shoulder before fixing me with a knowing look. “And Chef Oliver is fucking hot.”

A laugh bubbled up out of me. “If you say so.” My cheeks flushed with warmth and I looked away to hide it.

He nudged Nate. “Come on, what do you think?”

Nate’s eyebrows shot up again. “What doIthink?”

“Cam has a crush on Chef Hottie back there,” Theo said with a grin.

“I do not.” I tried to force an eye roll but it didn’t feel convincing.

“What’s not to like?” Nate asked with a shrug. “Tall, dark, swoopy hair, stubble for days, and what looked like washboard abs under his chef’s coat. Totally Cam’s type.”

“And those eyes,” Theo added. “They’re, like, gray or something. Yeah, super hot.”

“Aren’t you two supposed to be obsessed witheach other, not whether or not I have a crush on a random chef I’ll never see again?”

“Oh, you’ll see him again. He’s a celebrity. I’ve seen him in the news more times than I can count,” Theo said.

I flipped them both off, eyebrows raised and mouth set in a grimace.

Nate shrugged and pressed a kiss to Theo’s forehead. “We’re just joking with you, Cam. You know that, right?”

I sighed and shrugged, trying to shake it off. “Sure. Let’s go before we cause any trouble, okay? I’m sure they’re dying to get our table back into service. Besides, he might be hot, but he’s way too straitlaced and short-tempered for me. I like to have fun. That guy looks like he’s never known fun a day in his life.”

Parker laughed loudly, throwing an arm around Theo’s shoulder. “Did someone say fun? Let’s get this bachelor party started!”

Nate and his friends split off as we headed out of the restaurant, waving goodbye to us. They claimed they were off to find a casino—definitelynotTheo’s scene. Instead, the rest of us were bar hopping, with Parker taking the lead.

There weren’t a ton of gay bars on the stretch of road between Hidden Cove and our hotel, but there were a ton of non-gay bars. We stopped at several, pounding drink after drink, until we stumbled into Julian’s, which was definitely a gay bar as evidenced by all of the rainbow flags and pride paraphernalia adorning the outside.

I’d had more than several drinks by the time we made it to Julian’s and sidled my way up to the bar. The other guys went off to dance, but between the heavy meal and the heavy drinking, I was too worn out to do much more than have one or two more drinks and call it a night. Besides, my feet hurt from all the dancing. Luckily, our hotel was only a few doors down, barely a block away.

I waved the bartender down, a skinny blond twink who looked like he would have been better suited to dancing on the bar than staffing it, and ordered a Bahama Mama. A moment later, a familiar voice rang in my ears, low and husky.

“Long night?”

I looked up, startled. Seated next to me was Oliver. Sexy, straitlaced Oliver, with his dark hair and scruffy beard and gray eyes. He was wearing a clingy white t-shirt and black jeans, and damned if the guys weren’t right. Hedidhave washboard abs, if the rippling muscles under his thin cotton shirt were to be believed. “What are you doing here?” I glanced around to see if he was with someone, but I didn’t see anyone else. Just Chef Oliver.

Oliver chuckled, his tone rich and luxurious, sending waves of desire through me. He leaned in as he spoke. “Decided to take the night off early. See, I had a really challenging client tonight and after he left, I figured I deserved a few drinks and a little relaxation.” He took a sip of his drink and raised his eyebrows.

“Oh yeah?” The flirtation in his words was clear. “I had a rough night, too. I had to plan a party and there was a lot of pressure to make everything perfect. I had to deal with this hot-tempered celebrity chef. Luckily, the chef turned out to be outstanding. Provided great customer service. Really top-notch.” The bartender slid my drink to me and I nodded in thanks before taking a sip.

A moment later, Oliver twisted on his barstool to face me, leaning even closer. “I’m glad he took good care of you.”

I shivered, my nipples hardening under my shirt and my cock following suit. I was still wearing the white button-down and blue slacks I’d gone to Hidden Cove in, but the tie had long since been loosened and draped around my neck, and I hoped both the slacks and the shirt disguised my arousal. With a nod, I grinned at him. “He did. He took really good care of me.” Oliver’s tongue darted out to wet his bottom lip and my throat tightened with desire. Before he could speak again, I blurted out a request. “Dance with me?”

He frowned, shook his head, drawing back a little. “I don’t usually get involved with clients. It’s bad for business.”

A surge of adrenaline hit me and I placed my hand on his thigh, just above his knee. “Come on. One song won’t kill you.”
