Teague locked gazes with him. “Kissing.”

He stilled. “What about it?”

“I don’t know what you have against it, but you’re missing out. It’s okay to kiss a guy, all right? Whether you’re making out or fucking him, kissing is a good way to connect. And when it’s right, it can be… mind-blowing.”

“A kiss?” Butch’s voice sounded incredulous to his own ears.

“I’ve spent entire nights naked in some guy’s bed, just touching and kissing.” Teague straightened. “All I’m saying is, be open to the idea. Because once you start, you might never want to stop.”

“Ihavekissed girls, you know.” Not many, but Teague didn’t need to know that.

“So why not guys?” Before Butch could come up with a reasonable answer, Teague expelled a breath. “This is about being intimate, isn’t it?”

Fuck.

“Nowit makes sense.”

“Nowwhatmakes sense?”

“All those times you came to my cabin… Do you know that in five years, you never hugged me once? Or sucked me off? We were stuck in a rut of that one act—your dick in my ass—and you wouldn’t deviate from it. Were you afraid you’d get too close? That you’d feel vulnerable?”

Butch had never felt so fuckingseen.

Teague nodded. “I’m right, aren’t I? But it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. Sex with a guy isn’t just a means to an end, not now you’ve opened that door.”

“What door?” Butch wanted this conversation to end, that was for damn sure.

“You’ve admitted you’re bi. That it’s okay to like sex with men. So let yourself do what you’ve never done before.” He smiled. “Fall for another guy. Let one in.”

“Andyou’vefallen for someone before?”

Teague sighed. “Yeah, okay, you got me. No, I haven’t, but only because I haven’t met a guy yet who makes me want to fall head over heels. He’s out there somewhere, though. And in the meantime, I’ll go to Bozeman, Livingston, wherever, I’ll hook up with someone, and I’ll enjoy it. But I’ll keep looking for him too.”

“You got an ideal type?” Butch rolled his eyes. “I already know about the older part.”

“I like a guy with muscles who’s softly-spoken, makes me laugh, and fucks me into the mattress. Oh, and he’s attractive.”

Behind Butch, the bunkhouse door creaked open, and Teague’s eyes lit up.

“Speaking of attractive…”

Butch glanced over his shoulder.

Sol was walking toward him.

Teague let out a throaty chuckle. “And while we’re on the subject,” he said in a low voice, “There are older guys and then there are those who fall into the Holy-fuck-he’s-hotcategory.”

Butch had a feeling Teague had someone specific in mind.

“He’s gay too,” Butch volunteered.

Teague grinned. “You don’t say. My day suddenly got a whole lot brighter.” His phone rang, and he pulled it from his jeans pocket. He glanced at the screen. “Looks like I’m wanted. You okay about the trip with Paul?”

“Sure.” It wasn’t as if he had a lot of choice, and Teague had nailed it—he’d be doing a favor for the boss.

Butch wanted to stay in Robert Thorston’s good books.

Teague headed up the hill, and Sol caught up with Butch.
