“Just making sure I didn’t overstep the mark just now,” Sol said as he joined him.

“Nah, it was fine. At least it’s out in the open.” He peered at the backpack in Sol’s hand. “What are you doing now?”

“Toby wants to show me around the new barn. I’m going to take photos for the website.”

“Then don’t let me stop you.” Butch laid a hand to Sol’s arm. “Did you tell Zeeb before I had a chance to? I sorta got the impression he already knew.”

“He did, but not becauseIbreathed a word—becausewedid. He overheard us last night.”

“Ah.” Everything clicked into place. “He was the one who told you about me and Teague, wasn’t he?”

Sol bit his lip, and Butch had his answer.

“I was about to leave the bunkhouse when I looked through the window and saw the two of you talking. Seemed like it was a pretty serious conversation, so I waited.” Sol’s eyes held compassion. “Is everything okay? I know you said you weren’t an item, but—”

“Everything is fine. You’d best get along to the barn. Toby will be waiting for you.”

Sol studied him for a moment, then gave a nod. “I’ll see you later.” He walked away from Butch, following the path to the barn.

His stomach churned and his head spun. Teague’s words were still bouncing around inside his head.

I don’t need a guy to be happy.

Butchwashappy. Damn it, hewas.

Except he knew he was fooling himself. There were days when all felt right with the world, and then he’d remember.

Guilt was the ultimate mood killer.

And then there was the light in Teague’s eyes when he looked at Sol. Butch wasn’t sure why that should bother him. It took him a moment to realize he was jealous.

But I’ve got nothing to be jealous of. I’m not interested in Sol.

More importantly, Sol wouldn’t be interested in him. Too much history. Besides, he knew what Butch was capable of.

He’d seen the results.

Chapter 18

“I think you pretty much nailed it, in terms of accommodation,” Sol told Toby as they came down the stairs. “That bathroom is amazing.” He grinned. “Youknowyou’re going to have guys putting on a show in there.” There was plenty of space for shower shenanigans.

Toby laughed. “Should I put up one of those OSHA signs? No Fucking In The Showers - Safety Hazard.”

“I’ve got a better idea.Clients Who Fuck In The Shower Do So At Their Own Risk. That should cover it.” They laughed. They walked into the main room, and Sol nodded toward the tall cabinets standing against one wall. “Are they filled yet?”

Toby pointed to the boxes piled in one corner. “No. That’s why you’re here. We’re going to spend today unboxing all the equipment and assembling the furniture.”

“So I’m here to be a work horse, is that it?” Sol walked over to the largest box and peered at it. “What’s in here?”

Toby chuckled. “A horse. And those two next to it are a flat bench and a sling frame.”

“Good choices.” Sol was already seeing the place in his head. “This is going to look awesome. How are the bookings coming along?”

“We’ve had a couple.”

He stopped dead. “Wait a sec. If you don’t have a website yet, how can anyone make a booking?”

“Word of mouth. I emailed a couple of guys at the club, and they said to book them in.”
