“Keep him in sight, but do not approach. I repeat, do not approach.”

“Copy.”

Rivera pushed thetalkbutton again. “Rivera for Hansen.”

“Go for Hansen.”

“Are you in your car yet?”

“Yes.”

“You heard Kwon?”

“I did.”

“If the guy runs, you know what to do.”

“Follow.”

Rivera exchanged his radio for his phone and called Billy Barnett.

???

Kordo grimaced as the skin ON the back of his neck continued to tingle.

For the past three minutes, he’d been watching a man loitering at the corner, about a half block away. Like on the other shoot days, there were plenty of fans milling about. Someone hanging around the area in and of itself wasn’t a concern.

The thing that had triggered Kordo’s internal alarm was that on at least four occasions, the guy had glanced in Kordo’s direction. The man may have been waiting for a friend, but Kordo had enough experience to know not to count on that.

Which was why he decided it was time to get out of there.

???

“This is Kwon. He’s leaving.”

“Copy. Hansen?”

“Moving out now.”

???

Neno checked his watch. Where the hell was Kordo? He’d promised to come back by lunchtime to helprecord today’s video. He should have been here an hour ago.

As he reached for his phone, it started ringing, and Kordo’s name appeared on the caller ID.

Finally.

Neno punchedaccept. “You’d better be calling me to say you’re almost here.”

“I’m being followed.”

“Followed? By who?”

“Not sure. Someone from the movie crew, I think.”

“How do they even know—” Neno stopped himself. There would be time for questions later. “Lose him, then find someplace to lay low. Do not come back here. There might be another tail you haven’t seen yet.”

“I would know.”
